So essentially, I'll need registration docs &/or MSOs for the boat & motor, 'n at least a notarized form 1957 for the trailer? I would obviously double check paperwork requirements at the DMV office beforehand; just trying to figure out the process & what buzzwords or phrases to look for in an ad. Kinda like most MO boat ads reading "all 3 titles".

Personally I would call Jefferson city DMV and talk to someone. I tried talking to local DMV. That got me nowhere. When I told her what I was trying to do and had gone through she laughed. Gave me numbers of what forms I needed. Went to local DMV and asked for all the forms. They frowned but gave them to me. Filled everything out, called the highway patrol and got that set up. Easy when you deal with someone in the know. Now do all renewals by phone.

if you have a friend at an inspection station

That's the magic key, right there.

If you have a friend/acquaintance at the license office then you can accomplish ANYTHING YOU WANT, in.less than a minute.    I know for a fact that it's possible to walk in there with no documentation whatsoever......and accomplish exactly what you need.

This is why dealing with them pisses me off so bad.

Ours are mostly online now.   Best thing ever.

And I still see expired paper tags back to 2020 and more….LOTS of them.  If I pulled out of my driveway with one of them they’d have me spread eagle against my truck before I got halfway down the block.  I’m a lucky sort.

Not sure why the cops aren't ticketing the expired plates and the long expired paper temp tags.  Really irritates me.

It's getting pretty hot to get out of the vehicle now. Seen some craziness on 13 highway last Saturday. Heading home North we did the standard 65 MPH. Cars were zooming past us making bad moves and just stupid stuff. I had Pat speed up to see just how fast some were going. One we could not catch at 75. We went back to normal and low and behold a Highway patrol man was sitting in the median watching traffic zoom by.
