tjm Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Not any law requiring that one confess to crimes on social media, but people still do it.

Yelp Pretty good! oneshot
oneshot 1 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 The only animal I tried but couldn't was an old Ram. But I remember going to the Market. Hog Heads hanging up and Carp in the meat area. But back then I was a bad kid buying Cigarettes and Ammo. oneshot

Now to the bowfishing statement. Even invasive species? Do you eat the armadillo you kill in your yard? Believe me I know how you feel about Crows. Smartest thing in feathers! I have no problem with vermin control. And most but not all of the raccoons were skinned and hides sold, carcasses sold for meat, and feet sold for making Native American tourist trinkets. Terrierman Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Here in Missouri, our wildlife code is prescriptive. Which means the code tells you what you can take when by what methods. If you don't find a spot in the code that blesses what you are doing to what species and how in the code then it's prohibited. You won't be finding a BB gun season on sparrows for example. So shooting sparrows with a BB gun could - but likely won't - get you in a spot with the skunk sheriffs.
jdmidwest Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 The common house sparrow is and invasive species that was introduced from overseas. They are over competitive with native birds and do crop damage. There is no Federal Protection of them and I remember a time when the MDC code for them was "shoot to kill". Don't seem to find it there any more. Animals out of their place causing problems are up to the landowner to dispose of properly. With proper permission of course..... Growing up, we had "Corn Cribs" where we stored the corn cob corn and shelled corn for the hogs we fed. Crows, blackbirds, and squirrels were among the varmits I kept at bay with my trusty ole Crosman 140 .22 pellet rifle. Many of tins of pellets went to the cause. That old rifle was stolen out of the trunk of a car in St. Louis on its way to a rebuild of the pistons. I wore them out and gave it to my uncle to fix it.
