fishinwrench Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I've always wondered.....If there is information that only a select few are privy to knowing, then WHY are there "documents" created that contain that information? How can there be trust in anything/or anyone, if there is so much information that only a select few are allowed to know? If it's SO IMPORTANT, do they really need to create documents about it? Why? So the few that are allowed to know don't forget it ? 🤔 fshndoug 1
Dutch Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I doubt that there is anyone on this site who is remotely qualified to answer your question. There is no way this won’t wind up political. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

fishinwrench Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Seriously though, if these so-called "classified documents" are so-called "Top Secret".....then who can confirm or deny that the information within is true or false? The whole thing seems really childish and stupid to me. Not to mention WORTHLESS. Are we really this ignorant?
tjm Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 When I was in the Navy our text books were "classified" documents. "Classified" is a term that can be applied to a wide range of degrees of classification. It would not surprise me if the White House breakfast menus are "classified" as "confidential" meaning that it is not for general publication. If all these "documents" being found were of "top secret" or above classification they'd be referred to by that rather than just as classified. fishinwrench 1

The more we don't know the easier it is to keep us not knowing 🤔 It's better that way😜 Daryk Campbell Sr 1
fishinwrench Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 The outboard marine industry is loaded with "classified"information. It's all stuff like.... "This ignition component will only operate as designed under THESE certain parameters......blah-blah- blah". Which might be helpful IF you had any control over said "parameters". 🙄. But you seldom do. dan hufferd 1

Yes and if you were a V.I.P. caught with those in your possession it would be news. We got no foreign "police actions" or domestic riots going on so the media has to create scandals. fishinwrench, dan hufferd and Daryk Campbell Sr 3
Flysmallie Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I’m not so curious as to why they are classified, but why we can’t control them. Isn’t there someone in charge of protecting them? There’s a grade school librarian in every city doing a better job than these morons. dan hufferd, curtisce, fishinwrench and 1 other 3 1
