See ?

Just bust a slickhead in the back yard, carve the loins and hind legs off of her, slice off a bucketful of jerky or sausage meat....and let the critters have the rest.

That's the way I do it.     Bash away !  🙂

Only thing we don't do is ribs. Tried them and there is not enough to fool with.

I use to feed Deer. Got a Animal Rights person that sees me with dead stuff and she is in bed for several days.

.....then gut it, drag it, load it, haul it home, unload it, hang it, skin it, process the meat, ect.

Pretty much the same as shooting one off the porch, but with a shorter trip home.🤪

When I was younger shot a Deer down the holler from our house.

I got the Deer to my Pickup but couldn't load it had to call someone.

Shot a Deer one time it ran to the bottom of a holler. I called for a couple young guys to pull it out.  Oh we will be right there.

It was hot i waited. Finally drug it out myself.  Seems them guys was trying to stay cool with a few Cold Ones

Your not gonna rake me over the coals for my "wasteful" deer processing habits?  Awe, C'mon! 😁

I didn't even gut, hang, or skin the last 2.  Those loins slice right off the hide like a crappie fillet. 👍.    Something to consider the next time you come across a fresh roadkill.  That's 4 good meals laying there !

That depends on the time of year, how long it has been there, and what hit it.

Sorry I forgot. What the heck are you thinking wasting that much good edible meat, people like you should stick to catching white bass.  There hows that.

Last few I have seen on the road are ground into burgers already.  May have some hair mixed in though, and rocks, blacktop, bumper plastic.

Speaking of Road Kill I could pick some up might be easier than hunting.

My wife's friend hit a turkey just outside the city limits yesterday. Took out her windshield and side mirror.

I ran out there only 20 minutes later to confiscate some feathers......but I was too late.   Somebody beat me to it.   😅
