So I spent a week intimately researching "Erivedge" and.... HELL TO THE NO! I voiced my concerns as sincerely and respectfully as I could, and she copped a very noticable attitude. I had her on speaker and my wife and kid even picked up on the way her demeanor instantly changed. That crap is pure poison. I mean, you aren't even supposed to use the same toilet as others in your household for 3 months AFTER you stop taking it. Muscle and joint pain, weight loss and nausea is guaranteed. If I was a housewife and all I had to do was load a dishwasher a few times a week.....then that would be one thing...... But I have a physical business to run here ! So, NO! Go get a second opinion PLEASE. BilletHead 1

kjackson Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I'm recovering from my second surgery/removal, and both were kind of a pain at the time. Neither doc suggested using drugs to remove or change the the cancer. It was always the knife. I would definitely get a second opinion. I am surprised chemical treatment is an option... BilletHead 1

I just fi ished number 2 and awaiting number 3. The first one was huge actually had two tumers in same spot. Saw the pics before it was all reassembled, could have put a goofball in the hole. Never did the suggestion of anything other than local anesthesia, knife and lots of stitches come up. I truly like my dermatologist, every time I go.in with a concern.it take him about 5.seconds to say NOPE, and then notices a spot that didn't even catch my attention, and says yeah I don't like the looks of that we are.going.to.biopsy it and see. Last time he biopsies 6 and got 2 hits, one each squamous and basal. He is also good about freezing off what he calls barnacles if they are bothering me. Never had him cop an attitude on anything. kjackson 1

Yeah I probably should. This gal came highly recommended, but like I said earlier.....I get the feeling that her #1 goal is cosmetic perfection in the end. She should be in Hollywood instead of dealing with farmers and laborers in the Midwest. I'm going to go with the Curaderm BEC5 treatment and see how that goes. If that doesn't have positive results then I guess I'll go in search of another dermatologist that better understands my point of view. Although I've always condemned people that keep jumping around to different doctors until they find one that tells them what they want to hear. This crap is so frustrating! I have many other things that I would rather be concentrating on right now. I don't have time for this BS ! 🤬 If I wasn't afraid of passing out cold in the middle of it...... I'd carve it off my dam self ! Just give me a razor blade, a bottle of peroxide, and a roll of paper towels. Quillback 1

Some Dr's are very good at very specific things. Just think though in the amount of time it takes to see if the cream works you could be done and healed up from surgery. Just don't let it slide too far back on the burner for ya or by the time you get back to it, it may not matter anymore. fishinwrench 1
oneshot 1 Posted February 18, 2023 Author Posted February 18, 2023 Seriously I'm thinking instead of having my Prostate removed. Should have had Radiation and Hormone Shots and just go. Main thing now is I can't just hang it out and pee. I have no control. So drop everything and pee in a Urinal or a cup. One time I was needing to change. Couple women drove up. I figured if they hadn't ever seen an old man's butt they were in for a treat. oneshot Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Sorry your going through all this. oneshot I am sure you have seen others around you at the Hospital. They have it alot worse. Look at what they have going on and feel better that you don't have that dose of hurt going on. Mine was a cake walk compared to some. I learned to adapt and talk twice. And still make a living with my silver tongue. But, I am not without hurt as to the pain you are suffering. You are hurting more than me at this point. Keep up the fight. Since that torture, 4 of my grandbabies have been born and I have seen lots of great things. And I have met many new friends.
