Orschelns

We were at Orschelns today getting stuff for our soon to be hatching chick eggs and wondered over to the fishing section and was surprised to see they have their own line of soft plastics. They are actually great looking/feeling baits. Anyone know who makes their baits?

Good luck with that.  Orschelns just went under and sold.  They tossed out all their stores on the market and nobody knows where it will go.

Locally, in a 100 mile radius, they sold to 3 different vendors.  Buchheits, Baumgartners, and Tractor Supply.

Im gonna guess Net Bait makes them, they look like a Paca Craw

I think Tractor Supply took them over or that is what I thought I heard.

Not all, that was what I had heard too.  Tractor Supply does not have Sporting Goods in their stores.  The one in Cape lost their guns last week in the transition.  Not sure about the rest.

They look exactly like the baits I made with my Paca Craw mold.

Ours here in Republic didn’t get the fishing stuff until after the buyout.  I talked to one guy who has been there for years about coming changes.  His opinion was it will be years before the sign even changes if ever.

Just did  a quick little research, apparently Tractor Supply bought the Orscheln company but the FTC makes them divest most of the stores before approval of the deal under antitrust laws. Of the 167 Orschein locations Tractor Supply will keep 81, Buchheit will get 12 and Bomgaars will get 73, plus Bomgaars will buy the Moberly Mo distribution center. My local store will become Bomgaars.

Was getting dog food from there but found the local farm store Race Brothers is cheaper. Did get a good price on a gun safe from them couple of years ago.
