I remember when their store in Macon, Mo. opened in the mid 60s, it became one of our regular stops on our weekly trip to town. Several folks I knew worked at the office/warehouse in Moberly, seemed to really like their jobs there. The Macon store had an annual sale called "Peanut Days", and they put out a couple 55gal drums of in-shell peanuts and requested you throw the shells on the floor. They didn't sweep until the sale ended in about 2 weeks, and those ground-in peanut shells left a beautifully clean, shiny concrete floor.

I can't dance like I used to.

The mountain home one is ALWAYS busy.  I believe this one was not bought by TSC.  I can't see it closing down, it gets tons of business.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

In our area some will be Boomgaars and others will be TSC.  We have both close to me so the TSC will stay TSC and  the  Orscheln's  will  become Boomgaars.   If you have not seen Boomgaars they have nice stores . Somewhat local to me--based in Sioux City Iowa.   I  actually perfer the Boomgaars over both TSC and Orsheln.  Just my personal opinion.

Mountain Home Ar store is TSC.  list here

I'm guessing that the stores that are still using the Orscheln name are TSC and the stores bought by others have changed the signs or will soon. I hadn't noticed it but my son said the one nearest me had a new name, but the store nearest him which is retained by TSC is still doing business as Orscheln.

The one in Cape will get a name change to TSC, I have saw remodel plans for it.

Anyone ever shopped at Boomgaars?  Never been in one.  Looked at the website, looks like Orscheln.  Never really cared for TSC, but was hitting the Orschelns when they updated a few years ago and added big sporting good selection.  TsC  is not into that
