bobby b. Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I have fished the lower end at least 5 days per week since April 24 (when I put my boat in my slip) after having fished the upper White and the James catching all 3 species. I have not caught a Ky in the lower end this Spring - I'm guessing a ratio of 90% LM to 10% SM with the SM starting to come on a bit now. Also I have not seen a lower end post indicating Spots being caught. SM yes but no Spots. Have the Spots not started the deal yet? Also a couple of pics from today (LM was close to 4lb)- water temperature has risen to 65 degrees and I saw lots of bait balls in the short coves off of the feeder creeks today. I think I counted 12 ducklings. cheesemaster, Dock-in-it, m&m and 3 others 6
Dewayne French Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 We caught all three species Sunday on the lower end in 10-18 fow had a good Lmb to go with a kpr Smb and 2 Kpr Spots. With in 2 miles of the dam either side. But I have not been on Table Rock in a couple months so thats just were I can usually get a few to start the process. May not help much but we did catch several short spots also.
Quillback Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I think they all migrated up the White river arm. cheesemaster and bobby b. 1 1

Champ188 Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 May be fishing too deep for them right now, Bobby. In my experience on the White River lakes, spots tend to do their spawning thing last. Look for shelf rock in 3-15 feet as a starting point. Finesse jig or shaky head. dtrs5kprs, bobby b. and Dewayne French 2 1
Dock-in-it Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Some say the spawn is over, but I noticed a new wave of staging fish today. So you might have a new opportunity to catch some shallow spots (and LM). I was going to check a few more locations, but walked up on a brand new fawn and turned around. magicwormman, cheesemaster, Quillback and 2 others 4 1

bobby b. Posted May 11, 2023 Author Posted May 11, 2023 I got out for an hour and half last night after supper. Caught 6 - all LM and SM -still no Spots. Quillback 1
Champ188 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Put a GPS tracker on Bill's rig. He knows where they are.
bobby b. Posted May 11, 2023 Author Posted May 11, 2023 I think it is like Quill said - they are all up the White - where Bill fishes. I do think that the Spots have not spawned yet or at least not completely - time will tell.
