ollie Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I just read this last night on my feed from Grand Lake. Apparently Luck E Strike was up for sale and a new owner has emerged. Toby Keith the country star is now the guy in charge! While I'm not a huge fan of his music, I do think he is very passionate about fishing and will probably make this a success. It is an interesting story to hear about. Apparently one of the guides on Grand knows him and they are doing this together. Jeff Williams is the one who came up with FleFly and Team Catfish and then he sold those brands and had no control over them. Now he is going to be like an operations manager or something like that. It probably helps out the Toby has a house on Grand as well and likes to fish there. Heck, never really been a fan of Luck E Stike either, but now I may have to. lol Toby Keith Acquires Iconic Fishing Brand Luck E Strike - The Fishing Wire Daryk Campbell Sr and grizwilson 1 1 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

Their Critter Craw is a Guido Bug. And LS really needs to bring back the RC square bills. Not sure why they quit marketing those because they are IMO the best square bill cranks out there. The 9" LS Ringworm was a great tool also, nobody else has a better worm. That Camouflage color was a Lake O killer.....and still would be if you could get them.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 They need to bring back the old RC stick baits too. The G5 crank is awesome though nomolites 1
ollie Posted May 25, 2023 Author Posted May 25, 2023 The other article I read says they intend to bring back a lot of the older products. Even rods and reels it said. Who knows though what they will actually do. I would almost bet though that they bring back some of those. Daryk Campbell Sr Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 I've been looking for a specific crank bait, and I do think it may have been Luck E Strike. Thanks for reminding me to go down that rabbit hole again. All I can confirm is it is firetiger, and I'll know it when I see it. Gavin Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 It looks like they need to build inventory, and well, I need none of their stuff, so I'll call that a win win. rps 1
