This day and age is tough for some people to pay their bills. Gas is so ridiculously expensive, interest rates high. No wonder a guy like Oliver Anthony became an overnight sensation.

fishnwrench if he violated company policy, he can go down for it.  It doesn't matter how much time has gone by or who overlooked it.

I'm sorry, but "company policies" are not enforced by the city, county or state.  Only by the company.    They can withhold future payments through agreement, or fire the individual and through a civil suit file to have a lien put on any tax returns.  That's the extent of a companies authority for breech of policy.

Unless, as I said earlier, the person admits to stealing......which would then escalate the offence to an actual punishable "crime".  You might be amazed at what a person can "get away with" by exercising their right to remain silent.

As a resident of Camden co. Holy crap, haven't you been paying attention to all the stuff going on up there at the courthouse?    😅.  My God what a mess!!!  And... and .. and.... Remember all the breech of policy crap when the Amphitheatre was being built....and then re-built ?    Nobody went to jail.  And Elliot Fence & Glass, among a couple others, just had to swallow a HUGE LOSS with no legal recovery.

Ha!   A couple thousand on a gas card is some really REALLY small potatoes to the level of legal gymnastics that happens daily in the business world.  Our favorite ex-president even wrote a book about it. 😁

Wrong. Employees get terminated and prosecuted for it. It’s theft plain and simple. You steal you pay.

Come to work for me and steal some gas and I’ll show you how it works.

Offering me a position with your company?   I'm flattered, Thanks!  🤗

What spot might I fill, what is the starting wage, and what days will I have off ?  I hope that COVID vaccines aren't mandatory!

Surely your company pays and treats its employees well enough that I won't feel compelled to fuel up my whole family's fleet on the company card.

Besides.....be mindful of who you're battling wits with, cuz I've seen that company car of yours in my driveway after hours 😂     Matter of fact I still have the bottle of paint thinner that you delivered.  IMG_20230924_004735205.jpg

Or....a replica thereof 😉

That's what that wax is for!  I thought it was there just to impede consumption.

fishnwrench - under certain circumstances and conditions, even verbal agreements can be litigated.  Let me write you a check for motor repair, note on the check that it is for repair of said motor that is in your position, i have proof of ownership, you have cashed my check, and see if I don't win in court if that sucker isn't fixed.

Ya think???

My claim:  "It was starting easily and running smoothly when she picked it up.  I have no control over what has been done to it since then". 🤷‍♂️

"Someone could have hooked a battery up backwards and blown the voltage regulator, or they could have filled up with bad fuel, or forgotten to add oil.    She saw me start & run it when she picked it up and was perfectly pleased at that time........So whaddya want ME to do NOW Judge ?".

Closing statement: "I'd like to have it noted that Y'all are wasting my time, and I get 135.00/hr.".
