Well all I can say is we will see what happens. I am seriously thinking about making the switch to  one for my trolling motor.  Sometimes we don't like change, do we? If it was up to you, we would only have two stroke motors, you would be honing valve and valve seats with a suction cup stick on the valve and using valve grinding grit and honing the valve and seat one at a time. Actually, I did that on a 59 Nash metropolitan my first car. Had a great uncle that was an old-time mechanic that instructed me on how to do that.  We would all be driving old pickup trucks and ford mavericks. No phone no lights no motor car not a single luxury like Robinson Caruso as primitive as can be!

The older I get the more that appeals to me.

Listen to the guy that chases down old cast iron cookware because he can't eat an egg cooked on Teflon,  and chooses to fish with flygear from the 1800's 🙄

This is what is nice about being able to have so many choices to both of you and myself. The end goal is to please ourselves. Would either one of you give up your phones or PCs for a rotary phone or library card for reference on subjects?

Absolutely!

I'd do it in a heartbeat if it wouldn't put me in the poor house.

I'd like to go back to carburetors, points & condensers in our vehicles too, and get the computers out of them as well.

I do like my graphite rods though ......and the fly lines of today are definitely a step in the right direction.

Thing is you won't because it would set you back. Now when you retire you might think differently. Maybe eat less ground chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs and cook in vintage cast iron. 😁

Is all I said was it appeals to me.  I’d love to give up my phone at least for a week’s vacation.  Haven’t had any full time off of work in 12 years.  Carried over 3 weeks PTO this year and will get 5.5 more weeks this year.  That I won’t use.  I have a library card😂

Read those ingredients on those nuggets. You do know a scientist invented those don't ya? Unless you grew up in the 1800s and early 1900s you were eating that crap and we do to this day. Like the the above things we have discussed we do have choices. I will avoid the dinosaurs though.
