TRRANGER Posted January 18 Posted January 18 That man needs to go buy a lottery ticket. Just proves when it is not your time to go its not your time.
fishinwrench Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Where was he thinking he was going in that unregistered rig anyway?

Quillback Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Wow, circling boat, waves crashing into rock jetties, he was in a tight spot.

bfishn Posted January 19 Posted January 19 So much wrong there... Going to fish from a big tiller boat by himself in that kind of water. Hell, that takes 2 guys on slick water. The aforementioned kill lanyard. And the pure Thank You Lord luck of the low, port side being in reach at a moment he could grab it. The other side would've killed him. (That makes me feel so much better about the stupid stuff I've pulled and skated thru.) Looks like the poster is a commercial fisherman, but this was his 'mate' (non-sexual Aussie slang, as in "Hey Mate"!) But my question is... why TH was someone on shore filming it? Was it a "Hey, watch me do this!" moment? That kinda stuff normally happens far out of sight of anyone unless... Then again, I have the same question about a lot of the stuff out there. I'm like, Yeah, that could happen, but how the hell did you happen to film it? Guess I watched too many episodes of Wild Kingdom. Ham 1 I can't dance like I used to.

YouTube has lots of videos showing boats leaving or entering the inlets. When the tide switches they get gnarly. Wavy Boats has a dedicated channel just on that subject. Pretty cool to watch actually. Obviously, I’m not saying that’s what’s going on here, but it’s not unusual for people to video the inlet. Quillback, Daryk Campbell Sr, BilletHead and 2 others 2 3
