Wrench - I am talking smaller derbies like AIA or Joe Bass.  Most of the folks that play LOSE money.  I just don't get it.  If you have a full time job and fish on the side it is considered a hobby which limits your ability to write off various deductions.

Those are $150.00 entry deals.  Working folk piss away that much on scratcher tickets each month.

Entry fees are the cheapest part.  Gas for boat and vehicle, lodging, food, equipment, maintenance makes it hard to make money on those derbies.

thats the truth. Ive won my share of small club tournaments and i dont think i ever made a dime
