Quillback Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Dutch and I fished down stream from Big M today, and it must have been Table Rock burn day or something, people burning wood all over the place. Back at the launch when we finished my truck windshield had fine ash on it and driving out the air was thick with smoke. Weird atmospherics kept the smoke from disbursing, it stayed low and would not go away. The fishing was good, we boated 26 bass, all but three were spots, and 8 were keepers. All the keepers were spots, and Dutch weighed one for 2 and a quarter for out biggest fish. The spots are fat and mad, lots of fun on spinning tackle. Most of our fish were on the Ned rig, Dirt being my color of the day. Best bank had us sitting in 30 FOW but close enough to the bank to almost hit it. Rocks and trees were a plus. We were letting the Little Guy fall to the bottom and then work it back slowly. Saw several eagles, and a loon. Saw several large groups of gulls flying by, but no idea where they were going as we never saw them stop for feed on shad. WT 46 when we launched. magicwormman, Macsimus, STLbassbuster and 10 others 13
