Is this deduced by your own forensic arm-chair videographer examination from grainy late night footage shot 2 miles away, . . . . or by looking at the actual plans of the bridge construction?
ColdWaterFshr Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The largest container ship in the world, in 1972, when the Francis Scott Key bridge was built . . . was only 1/3rd the size of this ship that hit it today. Take a look at those 50 year old pilings compared to the size of that ship. Like a floating brick adrift against some matchsticks.

Don't you suppose the deck has to be loose so that it can expand and contract with temperature? I used to fish under a bridge that was about 6,130' over all length with 130' or so of clearance, the end of the deck was mounted to a roller on a slab of concrete and I've seen the roller moved several feet from winter to summer. nomolites 1
fishinwrench Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Looks like they've been collecting toll on that SOB since the 1970's A pretty healthy toll at that... But just wait and see if they don't raise the prices of gas and everything else, and then blame it on this. 😡 snagged in outlet 3 1
fishinwrench Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Funny thought...... Just in that short little video clip at 1:am before the collapse, that bridge revenue likely adds up to more $ than all of us put together made today. How does THAT make you feel ? I'm good for a little under 600.00 after expenses. That's for the whole day. Chicken feed ! The next time somebody pisses & moans about their bill, I'm going to remind them that it only amounts to a couple trips across the Scott Key bridge.....So stop your whining!!! 😉

Thanks, Marjorie. You know, . . . it could very well be another a jewish space laser that took the bridge out.🤣🤣 Anyway, I have given up on the ink cartridge sales biz and taken up Bible sales here in holy week with Lee Greenwood and that other guy who's name must not be mentioned. Some good money in it. Bundle a crappy song with everyone's favorite book, and a swindling presidential candidate set for a porn-star-hush money trial in a couple weeks. Ironically, April 15th is a weekday in Manhattan. Thanks for the reminder Marjorie, I mean, Mitch. We could all use a little cash, redemption, and yes, Manhattans! Cheers! 🤣🤣🤣
