Thursday

Recommended Posts

Since I had left shoulder surgery 7 weeks ago. Therapist said as long as I cast with my right arm and set the hook with the same, using left hand reels I can go fishing.

I saw there are several large tournaments this coming week end. But I need to get away just to catch some fish. I am not fishing any of those either. Just want to relax and enjoy

So I am coming down Thursday. Will be fishing the Kimberling  area for 4 days. Any tips? Baits to throw? Areas to target? ETC? would be appreciated.

First time out for me this year. YAHOO.

I think the KVD big bass tournament is going on, I would go fish the Shell Knob area. We see alot less tournament boats over there. As far as baits or patterns, it has been about everything right now for us. I like the shallow fish better so that is what we do. Crankbait was pretty good, along with jig bite. Have a swimbait tied on too. Good luck and enjoy the fishing.

If that's the case I would agree with Shell Knob or even Eagle Rock. I'd go to Bull to be honest. It's that special time of year, have fun and good luck.

The KVD Big Bass Tournament is the 5th, 6th, and 7th. Also MLF College/High School on the 5th & 6th out of State Park. Last, Solo Series Top 100 out of Kimberling on the 7th out of TRR. This does not include some smaller club derb's happening also on the same dates. It's going to be busy on the Rock this week, stay safe everyone, and be mindful! If you see something stupid go down, report it to the tournament directors or Missouri State WP.

Darn-it, I sure picked a week that I shouldn't go. But I am going anyway. I got the Fever, because it is my first time out this year. Staying over near Aunts Creek. But always liked the KC Bridge area for fishing. Maybe I will just run up the James Arm instead.

I have fished the Big Bass Tour event since 2019 and will be heading down Thursday morning. I have never felt crowded fishing this event, I want to say durning the 2021 or 2022 event there was overlap with MLF College and High School and even then, it was not bad. Nothing compares to the Big Bash Bash on lake of the ozarks, that gets crowded….

Well, I am just going to have some R & R. Stick a couple fish and enjoy myself. If I had been able to fish this year, Earlier, I would have thought about fishing the BBT. Never Have fished this one. I use to fish the original Sealy's Outdoors, Big Bass Splash, in Texas a couple time a year, on several of our lakes down there. The best was always on Sam Rayburn for me. Won 11 checks in 7 years on that lake. It is a 3 day, hourly, 8 hours a day and pays out a bunch of places. Pay outs are a lot lot more than KVD and the LOZ one. BIG TIME.

I am so looking forward to just going fishing.
