Their Still Just Dogs

Kids big chocolate lab died here recently at 12+ years old. Gentle with the kids and an excellent watch dog. He had a mini farm to roam on and was never caged.  I'm like Pete in that I like dogs but don't want to keep one in the house or penned up all the time. I sure do miss old Bishop greeting us with that deep bark and wagging tail.

I partly agree.  I would never trade the life of a person for thife.of my dog.  But yeah put me in the category that prefers dogs over people for the most part.  I have had to kill my own dogs and others dog before and have had a couple euthanized by vet.  Never an enjoyable thing.

Well the good Lord makes a distinction between Man and Animals. Also between Men and Women

Yes I know had a Dog his thing wouldn't stay in. I had him operated on twice. Vet said there was nothing he could do. Dog got where he couldn't pee so I put him down.
