My wife was at the office they got several inches of rain and large Hail. Little rain here.

The river hasn't gotten out of its banks.

I can look at the Forcast, rain every day.  Cool! Then nothing.

Yes we've had plenty of rain but nothing over what we need. Still plenty dead Trees. If you see a dead tree with brown leaves it's a tree that died last Summer.

Time to get outside and start your rain dance, there's a big front on the way that stretches from Sioux City south to Shreveport.  If it misses you, you need to go to dance class and work on your moves.

When I first moved to Festus,  we had a very similar phenomenon for a couple years.   It seemed to break just north or south of Festus each time it rained.   People thought we exaggerated,  until they seen the trees, fields and lawns.   Water is not cheap, as we are on city water.  Our water bill for one month of trying to save our sod when we moved in was over $300.00.  We let it die after that.   Very strange how weather affects certain areas.  We really don't realize until it affects us directly.

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

Spotty weather can work to your advantage too. When I was a NOMO kid, there was a stretch 2 miles south that got pounded with tornados every couple years. Got as close as a mile away once with no damage to us.  Had the tin on a barn roof peel off over my head once, that '64 Ford P/U felt like you just drove too fast over a hill and just floated for a bit. Found a big snapping turtle in the yard right after. Closest pond was 1/4 mile away.

Point being, weather's funny. Been that way all our lives. Part of what makes a humin bean's life (more or less) miserable.

I can't dance like I used to.

I was looking at it and it is going to miss us.
