Travis Swift Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Just spent last week at Taney. I spent most of the week trying to target bigger fish on my new line of jerkbaits I’ve been painting for a couple of months. Ended up with a 20.5 inch brown a 21 inch brown and a beautiful tank of a Bow that was 25 inches that I caught on a homemade jig I pour and tie. Was so much fun on 2 pound test. Got to hang out with some awesome guys from Hooked on Vets and they absolutely whacked them as well. Was really an awesome week and can’t wait to get back down as always! Those are some great looking trout. Congrats Travis! Especially catching them on your own baits and light tackle. Terrierman and Travis Swift 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Nice! That’s some good results in less than ideal conditions. The generation pattern they have been on isn’t a good one for big fish. WTG!! Johnsfolly, Terrierman and Travis Swift 3
BilletHead Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Well done Travis, You have the pedal to the metal going full bore on the pursuit. Making your baits too. Just shows that the more you put into it the more you get out of it. jdmidwest Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Nice ones. My best fish ever have come on the flies I have tied. Adds a little when you roll your own baits. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Travis Swift Posted August 1 Author Posted August 1 Pretty cool deal, Blake Wilson's client caught that big rainbow again yesterday not far from where I caught it as well. That made me really happy to see because I fought it a long time and had worn it down pretty good so we took plenty of time making sure it was good and healthy and cared for when we released it then boom someone else got the joy of catching it less than a week later. Made me so darn happy to see! grizwilson, Ryan Miloshewski and snagged in outlet 3 3
