When Richard and I were down there fishing in Texas. Along the intercoastal waterway and San Bernard river every house along that area had outboards in their yards lined up. like junk on fences. Yeah, it's a sad fact that outboard motors just don't last very long in saltwater. And that's why they don't design their fuel & electrical systems any better. 90% of their sales are coastal...and always have been. Johnson/Evinrude was the only company that designed freshwater specific outboards that would stand the test of time. snagged in outlet 3 1
