While I worry that the introduction of them is going to be detrimental (and non reversible) to native White bass fisheries......they have become hands-down my favorite flyfishing target.

      Very, very tasty and like you our number one favorite fish to catch on the fly rod. White bass right behind.

Tried a new-to-me spot.  Had a wiper break me off, and it wasn't a real big one, not sure what happened with my tippet... must've had a nick on it, but I'd just put it on fresh like a couple casts before.  Bummed I didn't land it, would've made the trip much more enjoyable.

Saw this guy just hovering in the water not far from shore.  If he was sleeping, then I had to wake him up.

And this gizzard shad was not intentionally snagged, but was accidentally foul-hooked.

also caught numerous Green Sunfish and a hybrid sunfish, but didn't photograph any of them.

Put in some windshield time for not much fish action this weekend.  Caught a Common Carp, Bigmouth Buffalo, a couple White Crappies and a couple Bluegills.  Lost a few fish as well.

Love those buffalo and miss not being able to fish for them locally.

Went looking for Hybrid Striped Bass yesterday.  Only managed one.  But that's one more than last time.

Some other fish were caught.

Smallmouth Buffalo:

Silver Carp (these did not get hooked in the mouth):

Lost one, then landed my first-ever Paddlefish (aka Spoonbill).  My microjig was right in the very tip of its bill (rostrum?)

Bighead Carp (not hooked in the mouth):

It's been a number of years since I last caught a Yellow Bass, so I was happy to land this little fella:

Also caught a Freshwater Drum or two.
