Hands down the BEST topwater bass bug I've ever thrown.   Casts easy. Durable. Has multiple retrieve options. Easy to build. And Hookup % is as close to 💯 as it gets. 👍

I just love 'em.

I still haven’t fly fished for smallies.   Honestly, I’ve fly fished my whole life and it got to be a pain.    I guess I got my fill🤷‍♂️.

You've mentioned these before, I think. I know that I looked up some "how to tie" stuff on them in the past and decided that they were more complicated than the gurglers that  I like. And  that reminds me that I need to build a few gurglers.

 I've gone the opposite way.

Gear fishing (casting/spinning) just doesn't offer the challenge that makes it worthwhile to me anymore.    The excitement, and the feeling of accomplishment, of shooting/skipping a jig, or whatever, into a tight spot and winching out a fish has just deminished.   I used to literally LIVE FOR IT, but it doesn't even impress me anymore.  🤷‍♂️   And now that FFS has become such a thing.....I can finally just give it up and move along.

1/0 on those.   I use #4's for White bass and SM sized ones.

I practice nearly everyday in the yard now.   Just like I used to practice fly casting when I was a kid.

Susie has been suffering with "tennis elbow " in her right arm. Our left handed fly fishing practice hasn't gone very well.
