Quillback Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Buddy of mine used some brand of garlic spray on his bass plastics. Didn't seem to result in more bass catches, but it definitely caught some cats.
Nick Adams Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Chompers come in garlic oil. Supposedly smells like spawning crawfish?
jdmidwest Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I planted garlic for the first time this year. How do you know when to dig it? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

If its Hard Neck I didn't know this but soon as the bloom pods straightened out. I cut them off because I read to but I harvested couple days later because first leaves at the bottom were dying and most were broke over. Hang them for around 5 weeks to dry. Watch for mold. oneshot BilletHead 1
jdmidwest Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Mine never bloomed, just wilted over and died in the mud. I put more garlic in ground for seed that I use in a year and looks like it failed. Taters did same thing in this wet spring. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

I ordered my Garlic Starts planted them in October and mulched them with Straw. I was going to take the Straw up but they were growing up through the Straw so I decided to leave be. I ordered 1 pound and it covered 50 feet. oneshot
BilletHead Posted July 5 Posted July 5 We have never planted garlic. We do however forage for wild garlic. Mostly along the dirt road we live on. A couple years ago some showed up next to the house in a little food plot we can watch out the window. It started to get big last year but not enough to make a head. Well I pulled a little disc behind my ATV to plant some clover for the bees. I must of stirred up the stuff because it has went bonkers. This garlic is really tasty just not big heads. ness and Terrierman 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
