Dutch Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Jeff and I launched at a little after 06:00 today. We fished some short bluffs, long gravel points and had 0 from them. So we started fishing coves. We had lots of bites but not many hookups. Mostly the bait was jigs of various sizes and colors. It was hard to keep them from jumping. I think we had half a dozen jump and spit the jig. I had a couple early on a shaky then they quit it. The water was 84° and dingy. The air was 68°-82°. It rained from 7-8 which didn’t seem to help or hinder the bite. grizwilson, Quillback, dpitt and 1 other 3 1
Quillback Posted July 14 Posted July 14 It was a funny day. We had the bites, we just could not get them in the boat. They bit all morning, not a lot of bites, but one every once in a while. Was not a bad day for mid-July. Thanks for taking me buddy! Dutch once again with big fish of the day: snagged in outlet 3, nomolites, Flysmallie and 4 others 7

aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I hadn't been to TR since April. We jumped in the Wed. Cape Tourney. It think around 15 boats showed up which is good for a hot weekday. They were eating big ol' shiney hunks of metal. 12-4 for our 4 fish limit. enough for the win dan hufferd, nomolites, cheesemaster and 7 others 10
Quillback Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Way to go! Isn't that the group that changed the rules on you a few years ago?
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted July 16 Posted July 16 yeah, they changed it to 55+ but that didn't go over well, and most those grumpy old dudes that wanted it that way don't fish it anymore. Everyone is welcome now. nomolites, snagged in outlet 3, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 3 2
