Like the heading says. I am looking for a 9.9 HP, tiller short shaft or under motor for a john boat. I plan on fishing some trolling motor only or 9.9 hp limit lakes this year.   So what do you have and want to sell?

Thanks

I believe, I have found a 2022 Suzuki 9.9, electric and pull start, with less than 10 hours on it. At a decent price. He needed/wanted and bought a bigger motor for his 16ft V-bottom. That is the reason he is selling it. I have to go to Tennessee for it, but he lives about 10 miles from my sister. So I will visit her for a couple days also.

Maybe Wrench can answer these for me. How are the 9.9 Suzuki's? Are they trouble free to some extent?,  What do I need to look for when I am there?

And will this work, My transom on this Johnboat is 15''. From where the motor rest on the transom to the cavitation plate it is 16'' and from where the motor rest on the transom, to the center of the prop is 20''

Thanks

Yes it is what is thought to be a Short Shaft and the measurement is 16''from the mount to the cavitation plate.
