NO DRILL transducer mount - Stern Pad Installation

My Jon boat did not come with a transducer mount on the stern.  I did not want to drill holes so I found this product called a "stern pad".

I have not heard any negative reviews on this product so I mounted it and used it all summer.  I've been extremely impressed with the adhesive bond and how rugged it is.  Only time will tell though..   thought I would share the install on this product so people had an alternative to drilling holes in their boat.

3M's VHB is some pretty amazing stuff.

Been using these cheap 1/2" thick cutting boards for years. Attached with clear RTV. 

 Never have had one fall off 👍  

Don't try cutting it with a jigsaw though..... it'll melt right back together behind the blade.   Cut with a hack saw.

I used one to make a rudder on my pond prowler.   PVC pipe and a tilting trolling motor bracket.  Worked like a charm.

BTW I still have it if anyone wants it.   The guy I sold my prowler to, didn't take it and he isn't answering DMs on FB Marketplace.

Tried 1/4" and it seems to warp some.  You need the thicker stuff.

I bought one and will report back, after a week of use on a timber lake from March 1st to the 7th.
