I've been done since Sunday for the most part... We should have a revival of Gavin's After Tax Season Party on the Current. Globall Dave moved to Arizona years ago, but the folks up the hill at Pinecrest are nice. They have a nice pavillion with a band stand and PA system. We wont have a 40' tall stack of barn debris to burn, but we could figure something out. Wonder what happened to the bonfire picture? That trip was a hoot!

I might have some time to look tomorrow! The woods look about right, but weather has been variable.

I kill 100% of the spots that I catch on the rivers in the eastern Ozarks, and in Mid-MO. They hybridize with smallmouth bass and other bass species and really mess allot of stuff up. They are the Bradford Pear of Missouri bass fishing.

There are at least 10,000 of them in every road ditch in west St Louis County. I'm down to 3 of them. After tax season, they are toast. Smell like hell when the burn too.

We stayed as Circle B in Eminence this year. Nice place, but nothing special. The Jack's was too low to float at the time, so we just ran over to the Current to float & fish.

Campbell to to Blue is a very scenic stretch. Not great fishing IMO, but worth floating.

I've always wanted to attend the trout park opener in a gorilla suit, splash around, and generally make a nuisance of myself. Not this year, but one of you can go!

Bass, meh...I'll spend on Tarpon or Snook.

March is a little early for good smallmouth fishing. We tow a 32'. There are plenty of spots to visit. If your are looking for full hookups with sewer....Thinking HVO down by Bennett or Pinecrest on the Current. Avoid Echo Bluff. It has full hookups but the fishing stinks and CG is ugly. You might try Sunburst Ranch on the NFoW or Taney. Think there was an RV CG on the west side of the dam, but I have not been there in 30 years. Quarry Park on the Norfork down in Arkansas is a good RV CG. Depends on how you tow. I bumper tow so I can put my boats on my ladder racks. If you have a 5th wheel that is not an option.

It will be chaos, but rest assured! Everything is temporary until your dead.

That's a good deal for $200, but I've already got one. Weight distribution IS the way to go if your bumper towing v 5th wheel.

Tonight is gonna be Offal. Linguini with shrooms in a cream sauce with fried duck & goose livers and gizzards.

That kinda reminds me of my old spawn sack fly pattern. I tied 8-10 peach glowballs on short individual monofilament strands and lashed all the strands to a single wooly bugger hook wrapped with ice sparkle chenille. I was a novelty, but it did catch some stocked trout in muddy county park lakes. The could SEE if for sure.

OnX hunt is allot more useful than 200 Missouri Smallmouth Adventures. You can do plenty of wading on the Niangua, just hit the road crossings upstream from Bennett. Other places, you will have to look. Moon Valley to Bennet isn't a bad weekday float and you can wade in front of Riverfront or HVO if you are staying there.

March & Early April are usuallly slow, and high water is probable. May & June are usually ideal. Check out canoemisouri.org for canoe rentals and campgrounds. Have fun!

Well Al, put some skin in the game and push your river tourney friends to go to catch, photo, release. You know them all. You fish with them.

I’m done. Boys in AR & LA may get some late ducks. I really could not care less about field hunting for Canada geese or snows.
