  1. YMCA camp over by Granby too. Took a family vacation there years ago. Think it is cheaper than the Estes side of the park. Did catch some trout both in the park, and down from lake granby.
  2. Sweet! Congrats on a great catch!
  3. If there is a will there is a way
  4. Check out the prices on hitch receivers at etrailer.com...should not cost that much...You could get a Tracrac for a bit more. Home Depot carries them but not at every store. You wont have to give up any bed space with one. https://www.homedepot.com/p/TracRac-TracOne-800-lb-Capacity-Universal-Truck-Rack-27000-01/203346592
  5. A tourney angler is just some schmuck who paid the entry fee. Their a thousands of them Does not mean you are any good. Presumably a game of skill, so not technically gambling, but probably minor level gambling for most who participate. It's for folks who don't understand math, our need a hall pass from the Queen mostly.
  6. Not cheap but I'd go with a Yakima or Thule rack system on a sedan. They have fit guides on their websites. Enter your vehicle year and model, and it will show you what is available. I'd look at a Trac Rack if you have a pickup. Current Pickup has a Trac Rack in the bed which works for Kayaks, but I add a Thule Blade to to protect the paint on the supercrew cab when I haul canoes. Price would depend on how many features you buy but $4-500 ballpark. Its worth it to know that your water craft iprobably isn't going to fly off and kill someone on the highway. Pretty easy to store a canoe or kayak on the roof of your garage. Screw 4 eye hooks into to ceiling joists, and get a couple ratchet straps..
  7. Plenty of apps out there https://tourneyx.com/
  8. There is a dealer locator on Old Town's Website... https://www.oldtowncanoe.com/where-to-buy Alpine Shop in Columbia, should be able to help you out. They are based out of St. Louis, and they have always been great folks to deal with.

    Whatchya Drinking?

I like bloody Mary's and red beer. Try some Clamato instead of straight tomato. Hot sauce for sure.
  10. Heard back from Shawnee/Supreme $92, $40 in shipping> $132 to my door.for the oar rails.
  11. I'd check out Riverfront if you want to bass fish in front of camp. No full hookups, but they do have water, electric, and a dump station.. .
  12. Probably best to release ASAP, unless you want to eat some. Anything I want to eat is gilled, bled out, then on ice within a couple minutes. The touney thing just needs to change. No more stupid weigh ins. Catch, Photo, Release....still beats up a fish more than necessary, but better than current tourney practices. Getting beat up in a 2 square foot live well is more sadistic than an instant kill.

    What's Cooking?

Turkey looks good! Usually use achiote for carnitas. You can find in little bricks at most Mexican markets.
  14. These look slick...Emailed Supreme to see if they would sell me a set. http://supremeboats.com/supreme-boats/207xp/
  15. Have not figured out all the gizmo's on my 2015 F-250.....More tech on board than the F-18's I used to fix. Was in Avionics...Heck your phone has 20x the computing power.
  16. No I have not, did get oar rights. Will see what I can find.
  17. Yes for my paddle jon. Got them from NRS and they come in 3 sizes 10", 8", and 6"....Total cost around $200 with the mounts, bronze oar locks, springs & pins. Oars were another $200. https://www.nrs.com/product/91042.02/nrs-frame-10-oar-mount
  18. Never buy new, but there is a learning curve for all the gizmo's on newer trucks. Turn off the back assist/warning when parking a camper, dropping a boat or hitching Kills all the beeps & buzzers mostly. Do like the back up cam with Zoom function . EZ to hitch any OYO.
  19. Awesome! Good for you guys!
  20. Think I'm gonna like these. Factory mounts were way too low. Kneecap level.
  21. I'm sure they have a good cash flow, but probably low growth. Wall St wants rocket ships with high growth in revenue & high margins, not cash cows. They probably kept those.
  22. Thats a beast of a Copperhead!
  23. Would be fun but...Route 66 Canoe might help you out on the B. Piney, or Boiling Springs CG on the Gasconade. Congrats!
  24. Looks the Elk was flowing way high, 1300cfs+, normal is maybe a quarter of that? Won't float many at 3x normal flow. Sorry that someone lost their life.
  25. You will want some bite tippet. 25-30lb, those fish are not leader shy and they will shred freshwater lines. A foot our two is all you need. Wire if your into mackerel or bluefish. Buy that down there, with some beach rigs, pompano jigs, etc when you hit the tackle shop.
