I shoot sporting clays up at Blackhawk in Old Monroe and recommend it. 50 rounds for $20 or 100 rounds for $35. Will need a partner so they could hit the buttons while you shoot.

Was really pumped for this rifle season because I had this big mature buck on camera religiously. But I ended up getting him with the bow. Got a bigger one running around and has given me 2 opportunities to stick him but he only looks to be 4. Next year I'll try to get him. So this rifle season I'm gonna need a rouge buck to come through.

Thanks! It has been hot for sure. I didn't even start hunting until early/mid October. I have a few bigger ones on camera but with a bow I'm not as picky. Just happy that gun season looks like it will be a nice cool weekend.

Now that the first part of archery season is about to come to a close how did everyone do? i shot this 12 pointer 45 yards away on 10-30 at 0830. Seen him before daylight ever came up and he was chasing off any other buck that would come close to 1 doe. Had to grunt at him several times to keep him in the area.

High school friend is a biologist that works at Busch and told me that if it will test positive they will want to know exact spot to help make sure it won't spread. Basically kill all the deer around the property you hunt. Sounds like a great idea! that being said who ever uses the app (like myself) I would turn off location services for it!

20 minutes later my buddy called his in to complete the double. Forgot the go pro in the morning. I was riding the 4 wheeler to get the go pro and drop my bird off when he shot his. Overall a great morning. And I now get to save 4 days of vacation time to put it towards a different hunting / fishing trip His was 19lbs 8" beard with 1" Spurs.

What town do you live in? I burn for my wood stove which is around 90% of my heat for winter. I have a 22 ton log splitter that makes splitting an ease.

The permit they gave me was free. When I first got one they made it good for two months but now that they know me they have made it for 6 months. When I cut on conservation I have been stopped to see if I actually have a permit up to date. I run my saws there on Sunday's and never had an issue. Idk if you can run a saw without a permit even if you use the wood at the camp sites though. Might want to check in on that one but if it's already on the ground they have always told me to take it.

If they allow camping there you can use it there. If you want to take it home you have to go to your local conservation area office and get a permit. I cut all my firewood a whole 6 miles from my house on a conservation area that is huge. Obviously the tree has to be down. They told me to keep it around a cord a month unless I went to where they were logging and was able to take whatever I want.

Bought my buddy a baitcaster
ciRe replied to Smallie Seeker's topic in Equipment - Rods/Reels/Line/and all the other toys
My father never once has used a bait caster. Was always spinning tackle and still the same right now. I asked for one during Christmas time and got one. I had no clue how to use it but when spring came around I was determined. I tried and tried until I finally just gave up because of back lash after back lash. Went to one a few years ago and never looked back. Knowing how to set one up for a new user is key. I still do use a spinning rod for all my light tackle. I went out today to a local StL lake and caught 3 LM on my new Revo and was a blast. -
What is the largest fish you have caught in MO?
ciRe replied to grizzly's topic in General Angling Discussion
45-50lb flat on a buffalo. My scale is a bass fishing scale that only goes to 15lbs because that's mainly all I care about weighing. -
http://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/out-state-angler-catches-missouri-state-record-gizzard-shad new record. Sorry for bringing up an old topic but this came across me today and I remember reading when Jpb broke the record.
