  1. I'm near St Louis, if I can take them anything, please reach out.
  2. Eh, arrowhead, bream, it's all the same.
  3. Nah, he's been admittedly using others as well. I was a fan of Chompers before, as someone on here turned me on to them a few years ago.
  4. Just a tip for if/when it pr something similar happens. Throw it in neutral. Don't fight with it. One of those simple fixes that don't always come to mind.
  5. Glad to see more members joining. Jump in to any discussion, with questions, ideas opinions etc. That's what makes this site special.
  6. I've watched hours and hours of Mad River Outfitters videos. He/They make it so easy, even I can understand.
  7. I understand. Thanks.
  8. I've caught 3. Thats all. I don't often keep fish. I was not able to do much fishing other than very local for a lot of years due to working 2 and 3 jobs and allowing trying to be a family man and father. Things are really turning towards my freedom now as my kids are 23, 16, and 12. Im not complaining, ive enjoyed the ride this far. Just now, I get to do my own things again. Its been a long time. I'll make it a point this year to catch and cook some crappie.
  9. I've never eaten Crappie, I liked the walleye filled I had at Yellowstone Grill in Chesterfield, MO . Can't say I would go crazy to get it. I really prefer fresh catfish over all. Fresh bluegill and bass are really good also as well. Trout is good as well as salmon, tuna is a good ol standby similar to peanut butter and jelly.
  10. I haven't heard about his passing until now. I enjoy their music. I'll have a listen this evening.
  11. Mine have been sent with return fee. A couple hitchhikers ddecided to jump in. They are for you.
  12. I can give a good reference for @dblades He was kind enough to let me ride on his boat a couple years back. He is a great guy. If someone can be kind enough to include him in their boat, it would be awesome. I don't believe I will make this one. My recovery is taking a bit longer than I would like. Not sure I want to try my swimming legs just yet. I would love to see pictures and read about everyone's experiences.
  13. Wow, sorry for your loss Ketchup. So glad you made the decision to open the case and use the bow. Great shot.
  14. Here are mine. #8 Nymph/Streamer hook with #12 mylar holographic gold tinsel. (I don't have silver, and didn't want to procrastinate longer Black Floss, yellow saddle hackle.
  15. https://anglersemporium.com/products/owner-complete-microfishing-rig This shows a rig used in micro fishing that has colored threads that can be ran up or down your line to see strikes underwater. Not sure if this is something you are trying to duplicate. Bobber stops could also be used as strike indicators underwater.
  16. Sounds like a tough, but good time. Glad to hear that Livie would give it another chance.
  17. Sad news, but thank you for sharing with us. He was a very friendly person, and will be missed in the spring.
  18. I tried to order another one, but those prices shown are for the tool kits or replacement parts. Sorry, seems to be some bait and switchtype advertising. They are still very cheap prices, and may interest someone. I haven't used mine yet but expect to have an honest review and opinion in a week or 2. I plan to turn a few micro bobbers, and maybe a topwater bait or two. Along with a more uniform micro rod.
  19. I've caught bluegill and bass in my local creek on them.
  20. So, I've bit the bullet and got a mini lathe. I just wanted something to turn segments of bamboo for the thread to secure the cylinders where the pieces insert. I tried a tumbler spinner from dollar tree. I was not impressed. It was only 5 dollars, but it turned very very slow. I found a mini lathe on Amazon. I decided to get a spur for it as mine did not include one. Long story short, upon searching AliExpress they have mini lathes for ULTRA CHEAP. I have no interest or affiliate with them, but thought I would share. I have bought stuff from AliExpress, and they are generally very slow to ship, but they have really cheap prices. I paid 45.00 for my kit. It did include a miniature table saw blade with it.
  21. I will be tying "Black Ghost Streamer" Stock photo from Jackson Hole Fly Company's website.
  22. I've subscribed to him for a long time. He is from Illinois, hence the 618 area code. He uses extreme thumb nails and crazy titles to generate views. He may not have understood the law ot limits. I enjoy his content. It was a strange coincidence that mic posted in close time frame of when the video came out. i though by the description given it was the same location. I've never been there.
  23. Glad to see you got out and found them. Also happy to hear of quick recovery.
  24. You know the rules. I really wanted to catch a minnow species, but as you can see by the crutches behind me and my awesome posture, I am not up to going far. My wheel chair was just behind my wife who took the picture. Come spring, I have a few locations to re visit, and a few places I've kept for future use. Now its time.
  25. Congratulations on meeting your goals. I like her hair colors. I did that when I was younger. No regrets. Hair grows back. Even got my tongue pierced before it was mainstream.
