  1. ....its not bad, let me tell ya. Lmao
  2. Technology is no match for experience.
  3. As Gavin mentioned, if you are on 21 approaching the park from Desoto/St Louis, it is before the park entrance(s), maybe 1/4 mile or so.
  4. Glad to hear you guys had success. I hope your son continues to enjoy fishing. Duane is a heck of a nice guy. The world needs more.
  5. Lewis and Clark aside. Back to the original post. To be able to do that in today's world, that takes a lot. My hat off to them.
  6. Sounds like a good day.
  7. My son went out for his first hunt and got a deer on his first day. He is still out at the cabin, so I dont have many details. He went with a friend from boy scouts, and his father. They are in Potosi. He called and he was very happy. I am a proud dad. I am to lazy to hunt, not a fan of sitting in the cold. Glad to have a friend who is willing to take him.
  8. Introducing the BH3000. @BilletHead
  9. Gotta know your limitations. Maybe you can make it out with a friend. Or maybe rentals are available to you. You are doing the right thing. I dont have a need, but I hope you a speedy sale.
  10. I would be interested. Working 9-5, but maybe I can assist.
  11. Who are we to tell kids what they should be? I have held many titles, and will be taking on a completely new one on Monday. My parents never decided for me, and I'm glad they didn't. I have introduced my 19 year old son to a few ideas for work, and told him he needs to have a job. He is now working with the iron workers union, and seems to like it. Will he retire? I don't know, that is his life. He may decide 10 years from now to become a Pro Bass Fisherman. Dont sweat it Mitch. Let the kids be kids, and they will figure out their path(s). Give them the tools you can, and let them fail. It's ok.
  12. I fished the bank at Merril Horse access on the Big River, and I could not buy a bite. I started around 11:30am, and fished fir about 2 and a half hours. I spoke to a boater, he only caught a couple. I tried the HD Craw, topwater Heddon Torpedo, and a chatterbait. I went to a spot on Joachim Creek, in Festus, and I had a couple small bass follow a white buzz bait spinner. I should have tried the Ned, but I was determined to catch on something new after I removed the Heddon Torpedo. I've done very well on it. The wind was steady, and many leaves on the water on both streams. Big River was very clear, it was my first time there, nothing to compare it to. Joachim is up, as the Mississippi River is backed up into it. I did enjoy the day off, this was my first time stream hopping. Not sure it is for me, I would prefer to catch and move on one stream.
  13. Most of you dont know me personally, but I have fished with Macsimus for the OAF One Bass tournament a few times, and I will speak for his character. He is a stand up guy.
  14. Maybe I'm wrong, but sounds like they may be scoping out the docks. Knowing what set of docks is next, claiming that is what they are looking for, when they are really looking to see what's available, when they are challenged.
  15. I'm in need of one.
  16. Excellent report gentlemen. That trip sounds fantastic. Glad you guys were able to do it.
  17. I learned that same recipe, but add wheaties. Old man in Carondelet park. Kind of hard to get past the lindberger cheese smell. I wish I knew about rubber gloves then.
  18. Are you using a 3 prong plug in your power supply? You could use the house ground, the circle at the bottom of most recepticles. Where is the ground on the depth finder? Or is that one of your questions?
  19. Dude, that I awesome! If only there was someone who could verify the catches.... no, really I know you guys will never forget, neither will I.
  20. I'm in. Need lodging and a boat seat. Willing to pay my share on both. Excited to see the White River.
  21. Fro what reports I have seen, it has really improved.
