Thank you. I was ready to take the deal, but, really no need. You kept me out of the dog house, for now. ....

Maybe it's known, Maybe not, but Taneycomo has bait restrictions in certain areas. Just keep that in mind.

Great photos. Nothing to be worried about. He's already occupied.

I have only once been so lucky . A friend and I were fishing a small city pond that must have just been stocked. Almost every cast resulted in a yellow belly catfish aka bullhead. They were fun at first, but after 20 or so, your hands really got to stinking, and almost every single one swallowed the hook. Snelled hooks on a swivel were our saving grace. This was early 90's, we couldn't afford to get film developed. So unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the 8-10 inch monsters.

Religion and Politics are two things that are not able to be discussed in public by most. I know where many others stand, but most have no idea where I do. I used to really enjoy playing both sides of those fences just to see how strong and educated many of my friends and family were. I learned the hard way how that can hurt people in many ways. Things written in text are hard enough to interpret for day to day situations. I don't care to lose more people on here because of hurt feelings. Especially when they may have been/will be mis interpreted. I know that doesn't answer your question. I do hope it helps to keep the site calm.

Smallest flies.
Daryk Campbell Sr replied to Daryk Campbell Sr's topic in Fly Tying Discussions & Entymology
https://anglersemporium.com/collections/microfishing is where I bought mine. Looks like I may have gotten the last one. Full disclosure, I've never done business with them before. They were quick to ship and I bought a few items on my ticket. I would use them again. Just a random find. -

Well, removed most of the dubbing. The fly was no longer as bulky as it was prior. Hard to really cinch down the thread to lock the material without breaking the hooks. But, as I'm just starting this adventure, I'm sure I will get the hang of it. @JohnsfollyI hope you didn't think I was referring to you as a bum. But the supplier of the materials. And, thank you again for getting me started. I've really been thinking of starting a list, but so far, I just enjoy playing. I do need to get out of.my local area and see what newer fish I can find, and that just may begin my list. -

Yes sir. Got them from a BUM. Found a neat little display tank. Success, but this guy demolished my fly. -
Curious about what are the smallest flies you have seen, or tied. I have been playing and here are a few I've tied for microfishing. The bare hook is a size 14 fly tying hook. I dipped this in Flyagra. Seems to get it off the bottom and create a suspending fly. Just toying around with ideas and trials.

I told one of the kids' mom, "When I was their age, all I wanted was to see and hold the fish. I guess I never grew out of it"

So in between picking up and dropping off my son for his Cross Country car wash, I was able to run some errands for the wife. Happens to be a creek running near where I was going. Had about 30-40 minutes free. I went to the creek, it was very populated with families swimming and wading. The water was very low and clear. I had a hard time to find a hole to try my flies. I finally was able to leave the crowds. I found an area large enough to cast, and I was able to catch a small sunfish. Just happened to be a group with 2 kids just down from me. I called out to see if they wanted to hold a fish. Of course they did. They were so excited, they had a bucket to keep the fish in. They were calling out each action the fish would do. And as they would walk away, they would run back to check on the fish. I showed them my lure, a woolybugger, and explained that it was not a fish nut it w a s designed to look like one. As I was walking away, asked the boys to take care of Freddy for me. Excitedly one of the boys asked, "Is that the Fishes name? Freddy?" I said "yup, Freddy the Fish". I was walking back to the parking lot and heard, in a load and happily excited voice, "Freddy the Fish is SMART!" That was one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time. No pictures, but none were needed. I'm still smiling.

Kind of expensive $65.00 for about 1/2 pint. I was considering ordering a bottle. But upon quick conversions I think I'll just keep my Fireball and Jim Beam KentuckyFire. . Lol.

Help a noob/re-entry angler get set up.

I was genuinely confused. Seemed like a response to someone you thought may be trolling online. I do agree, he may find Tenkara interesting. I just was taken back, as I thought you were not a fan. Just found it interesting that you were promoting it. -
Local pond with my homemade flies.

Yes sir. It was during a short time while the kids enjoyed a swim party for cross country. New pond. Fun times. -

Not really sure what angle(s) you are working towards. I don't believe you are giving a genuine response, not sure why. Tekara is convenient in a few situations. I still am happy with it. -

I have a Pflueger reel on a 6' medium action rod, and have been very happy with it for years. I think the combos are the best for price. As far as rod length, I like short rods. But I do alot of bushwhacking when I fish. I am generally in small creeks. Longer rods will get further casts. Fish have no idea what equipment you are using. -

I chose to get the 3 year plates for mine. I am not opposed to the dmv, we have pleasant people. Also, I'm worried about someone stealing my permanent plates. They are more likely to leave mine alone.
