  1. Stop in a local marina, tackle shop such as Lilley's for current info. Be open to fishing in the dark, the larger fish come out then. Bring a headlamp, with extra batteries. Just because you can see the fish, doesn't mean you will catch them.
  2. I have a cot and I am willing to use it if we need to cram people in. Jeff, would you like me to send you my part? I don't want you to be without if we have another situation.
  3. I understand what you're saying, but I would like to counter. Maybe 1 through 95 don't help me, but 96 through 100 would. ..bring waders to fish by the dam. .. wear polarized sunglasses. ..expect to be evacuated if the horn sounds. ..bring a large net (your not fishing for butterflies in Taney) . ... a fishing vest or similar helps keep your hands free. I know these are simple, but they are things I learned from my visit. I will add more as I think of them.
  4. I second them.
  5. There is no asking price in your post. It's definitely out of my range, but others may be interested.
  6. ?? Match the hatch???
  7. ?? Match the hatch???
  8. That was really interesting. I never would have considered spiders could be that sensitive to electrical current.
  9. I would strongly consider the drive down, but work is on the agenda.
  10. I would go with the cabinet maker's advise.
  11. Although it is very hard for me to accept and admit, the most enjoyable spots are the ones YOU found. It feels alot more personal. No one wants to burn valuable fishing time. Believe me, I know that for certain. Use a couple hints, and hit the water. Come back and let us know of success and failure. Be vague on the locations if you like. Make friends on here, and you will be rewarded in amazing ways.
  12. I read a long time ago," the successful feeders will draw, predators. You have to accept that. "
  13. Thanks to the wife and kids this may be a little easier. My gift this year was a subscription to Mystery Tackle Box.
  14. Good man. I have been helped many times in my life. I am always grateful for people like you. I often give back in ways that I can.
  15. Bream, bluegill , perch... hybrid, meanie,..... potato/pahtatto.
  16. Interesting.
  17. To fish in a state other than MO. Jigfest will complete that. I would like to fish once a month. That would be an accomplishment for me.
  18. Primarily I need to protect my feet from dirty water. I am prone to infections from all kinds of bacteria. I have a rare condition, lymphedema of the lower extremities. Any extra protection while fishing is valuable.
  19. I am interested in these, but want to know if they stretch. I have a water retention problem, and my feet and ankles are much larger than average. Also, how is their effectiveness if submerged? Are they like neoprene, creating almost a seal?
  20. Sounds like s successful trip. Welcome.
  21. March is usually 1 bass tournament. I'm good for it either way . Had a great time at Taneyfest.
  22. Sounds great. I really love the CO scenery.
  23. Awesome. I did lol about not allowing the stinking bass to touch the boat, or the net. He expressed his dislike for the "stinking bass" while frying cheeks at Taneyfest. Thanks for the report. Made my day more enjoyable.
