  1. Did you rip the tenderloins out of that fawn? 😂 They are sure taking their time cleaning up my last pile of White bass guts. Wish they'd get busy because when the breeze blows from an easterly direction it's getting a bit rank around here. 🤧
  2. First aquire a replacement screw/plug and washer. Then get an assortment of Torx bits, choose the one that won't quite fit into the hole....and just smack it in with a hammer. Remove the stuck one with a 1/4" socket....and throw it and the Torx bit away.
  3. Best topwater minnow imitating fly I've found so far. You need to see the Wiggle minnow that our mutual friend has come across. Constructed on a 2-3" long piece of bead chain. That thing is the tits !
  4. Ya know, if it weren't for those alien eyes they would be a cool looking fish. 👍
  5. Beautiful ! 👍
  6. White bass
  7. A buddy and I went out for some topwater action today. Pretty slow actually. We did catch several runts and FINALLY one good one slurped in a Crease Fly.
  8. I have an idea. Make that the traveling trophy. 👍
  9. My wife "drifted" earlier today. She meant to say "Hey Babe, gather up your dirty work clothes so I can wash them." But instead she said "Hey MFer, quit leaving your stinkin' greasyass clothes on the goddam bathroom floor."
  10. Well you can't get burned on that deal, that's for sure. Negative on the 1648 though.
  11. Tight-line swinging a 1/4oz. Cleo spoon into the Eddy's is catching hybrids and slab crappie. Roadrunners and 2.5-3" swimbaits on a 1/8-3/16-1/4oz. head (depending on the current) is catching literally everything that lives up there now (Whites, Hybrids, Crappie, Catfish, Walleye, LM). Look for those current seams where the fast and slower water meet. 👍. And the closer to the bank where the current seam is.... the better. Ignore the ones that are 30-40 yards off the bank unless you are targeting big Blues.
  12. Berkley Vanish is the only fluorocarbon I've ever used that had unfavorable knot strength.....and that was many years ago. I use Rio Flouroflex tippet when trout fishing, Seaguar InvisX for tippet when flyfishing for warmwater fish. For gear I use Seaguar or P-line flouro's in 6#-20# and have Never EVER had any knot issues at all. Not even once that I can recall. And I promise that I don't pussyfoot around with 'em. I usually am either attached with a 5 turn Trilene knot, figure 8 knot, or a No-Slip loop knot. No complaints by me. A few of my buddies are diehard Polamar knot guys....which I only dislike because it wastes 2' of line every time. I never hear them cussing knot failure either. Your Yozuri Hybrid is (I think) a co-polomer. Monofilament core, with a flourocarbon outer shell. No?
  13. Are the mask wearing Covid shot recipients, OR, the non-masked Covid shot avoiders.....the "sunny side walkers"?
  14. It's called "thread drift", man. Pretty common around here. You gotta be on your toes to keep up.
  15. Disentigrate fluorocarbon at the knot??? I know nothing of which you speak. 🤔
  16. Well I actually DO want to believe it, because if it were true then one hell of a case against the rediculous number of tournaments being held, could be made. And I'd truly like to see them cut way WAY back on that. If immediate release results in 5-10% mortality, then holding and transporting to a weigh-in process has to at least triple or quadruple the mortality rate. But I still can't believe it. There's no doubt that a few die from poor handling or gill hooking....but I'd say that's about it. The only reason to suspect it may be more is because someone that we're supposed to believe said so. Who was that someone? A Texas biologist in a Ken Smith video? That's where I heard it....but WTF does HE know? 🙄
  17. Depends on who you follow, and who you are friends with I guess. I don't see that.
  18. Wait.....I thought they believed that Covid was all Trump's fault ?
  19. Congratulations on being properly insured. 👍 What is it that you disagree with?
  20. That's a good deal. 1989 was a very good year for the inline 6's. 👍 Controls too?
  21. That size of SM are the most fun to catch. Scrappers! Why do you use your bump board backwards half the time? Not that it matters.....but you'd give ME hell about it if I did that. 😁
  22. Well, according to MDC they do not do that. If they choose to do that then why not sell tags and allow anglers to keep some during the Winter? So if this newly accepted belief that 10-20% of released fish are going to die is a reality, then length limits need to be stopped immediately. Simple math will show that killing 10lbs. of fish in order to legally keep 8lbs of fish is not good "conservation". Especially in regards to LMB because most anyone would rather eat a 12-14" LMB than a 3+lb. LMB.
  23. I just like luring you to yank it. 😎
  24. Here's something else to laugh about... All these "fully insured" guys out there fishing all these tournaments, and guiding...... How many do you think are PROPERLY insured? When they smack a log and bust their gearcase, and their insurance co. learns that they were fishing a sanctioned tournament, or on a guide trip..... Guess who pays me to replace that lower unit? 😂
