The moderators act as though everyone has to read EVERYTHING, and that just isn't so. Anyone can block anyone else, and anyone can just NOT READ certain topics or certain posts. When you pick up a newspaper, do you read it all ? Or do you only read what interests you? Have the moderators here ever considered that everyone that comes here isn't solely interested in Tenkara fishing for chubs?

They give alot away for free, just to ensure that a black motor gets mounted on nearly every boat that is sold. The majority of their sales is SALTWATER, and no matter how well designed an outboard is..... it can only last so long in the salt. Johnson/Evinrude built freshwater motors that truly were designed to last..... but the shrewd marketing geniuses at Brunswick outsmarted them. So your freshwater Merc....no matter how well you try to maintain it, is probably only going to last as long as a motor subjected to continuous saltwater use. Therefore, parts for Mercs start becoming NLA (no longer available) after about 7 years. 2 years after the warranty expires. It's a conspiracy. 😳

Here on Lake O we have buffalo, and you'll have none of those easy aggressive bites with those buttheads. You pretty much have to do everything exactly right.....and then HOPE TO GET LUCKY. Then of course, if they do bite, they'll wear you out to the point where you don't wanna do it again anytime soon. Commons are just slightly easier to catch. Never messed with grassies much, just assumed they were about the same way. That place where you are playing around sounds quite fun. 👍 Must be loaded with them.

That's a surprising take on it. I feel the worse they are at it, the more they are hurting. Banging around, getting hung up and trying to retrieve baits, sloppy casts, ect. Going in behind all of that is usually a recipe for a skunkin' for me.
