  1. Without a doubt. I quit 18 years ago after smoking heavily for 28 years - toughest, and without a doubt BEST, thing I’ve ever done for myself. And my family. The first couple months was like being wired all the time due to actual unrestricted blood flow in my body....that eventually settles out and I can do things now I never could or would before. Mike
  2. I would throw that in a heartbeat - looks like a winner to me! Mike
  3. I like white or translucent with purple and or chartreuse accents - given those choices I’d try alewife. Mike
  4. Look like Hellbenders to me. Mike
  5. I think some cattle operations have made that decisions he now cultivate. Have heard nothing negative about it. Mike
  6. I don’t know of anything that will kill it once established but glyphosphate. I tried multiple selective killers on my lawn, and finally I killed it with glyphosphate and reseeded, heavily. I apply 2-4-D early in the year and overseed shortly thereafter to keep it from getting an opportunity, and apply 2-4-D again late in the year to keep the rif raf out. Seems to work OK, so far so good. Mike
  7. The females are normally suspended in the middle of the spawning coves at half depth right now( i.e. 20’ in 40fow) and you can crank them up with bright colored bandits, warts, flicker minnows and the like. As earlier stated they move in late in the day and back out when sun come up. I will be doing my own research this weekend, but that pattern is normally solid from early April into June. Mike
  8. No question home grown is better, no contest. Can my own in glass and you can’t find that quality in any store I’m aware of - or if you can someone did it just like me and it will cost you an arm and a leg. I have simplified over the years, but don’t intent to stop as long as I’m still physically capable. Mike
  9. Agree with Dutch. Could be the card is not formatted appropriately or your downloaded update is incomplete. You might try formatting the card and downloading the update again....card has to be in place when you power up the unit to boot. Mike
  10. Nicely done. The jerk bait now has a grip on you. Mike
  11. ..and that is a true story on LOZ. I have seen some things torn up by those caught unaware. I try not to be that guy...but over time dings happen with the number of docks on the lake and the washtub effect of so many boats. Or should I say ships. Mike
  12. You are in easy range of Big Creek, Shoal Creek, and the Sugarloafs. I don’t know what the level will be but there will be tons of flooded buck brush and that’s where I would look first. Depending on lake level the back end of E Sugarloaf could be good, but all those creeks have something to offer this time of year. Mike
  13. Bet that one had him calling for the net.... Mike
  14. I hate that place. Nope, not me. Mike
  15. I didn’t know there was any other way of doing it. 🙄 Mike
  16. I put 300k on one and never had an issue other than O2 sensors failing. Have you replaced plug wires? I’d start there. Mike
  17. Ever try fishing with a fly rod on opening day or early morning in the bait area? Too many people completely unaware of the space envelope required for a fly fisherman. Or they just don’t care. Safety is an excellent reason for a fly only section of stream. Mike
  18. 80# and below are 24v and only require 2 batteries...is this motor a 112#? Mike
  19. I have on your recommendation; well done flick - love biology, and didn’t mind the artistic license. Mike
  20. Got my first today, easy peasy - zero issues. Moderna. This was through STL County registration - Richmand Hts. Comm Ctr., which is close enough to Hargrove’s and Feathercraft to make the trips a twofer. Mike
  21. Love the ranger cammies. They were my favs for fall stalking and waterfowl....I don’t think I can get in them any more, not even gonna try.🙄 Mike
  22. I’m thinking Bassfisher
  23. Rookie(or stupid) mistake. He wouldn’t last 5 minutes on LOZ. Mike
  24. I heard threadfin catching was pretty bad....😂
  25. I’m not that particular...11 and over and it’s in the box. It is cool, but like I said I am not much of a gamer - I spend too much time surrounded by monitors for my day job. I believe all those who relate it’s “game changer” capabilities, but I’m happy with the game I’ve been playing...for now 😉. Mike
