  1. Maybe the used market may be jacked up because new is jacked up. $100k Ranger??? It's like anything else, if you have to have it right now, you pay the offer. If you can wait, and cast your net outside your zip code, there are deals to be had.
  2. Never is a long time...with that being said...I would NEVER buy a new boat.
  3. This is the only walleye left on the Lindley side. She's still swimming so leave her alone.
  4. What happens at Newport is influenced by what happens on the AR River and lower Miss. The White has no where to go when the big river is backed up. Big Muddy is trending lower, but that could change with projected precip.
  5. Sometimes you make it easy, sometimes it's harder to read between the lines...but I'm going with WP.
  6. Can appreciate that. Good for you. Some people would say, get away from it all...but for some it's not an option.
  7. Based on the food thread...I'd see if rps could come up from OK and help you out. He could even show you how to catch 'em.
  8. I don't know...this one's no dink.
  9. We like to drift for them using a 3 way rig baited with cut shad. We look for an 8-15 foot flat where we're marking fish, you set up with a nice breeze and enjoy the ride. When you get into them you can often repeat the drift or set up on them. Search 3 way rig, it's a good way to cover a lot of water. I use 6 lb test on the dropper, so that I can break free from snags and not lose the whole deal.
  10. I started with a Zebco 202 with whatever little rod came with it. I think simple is better for kids. We have several old zebco 33 combos that always get hauled out when little kids are involved. My neighbors 4 y/o grandaughter caught a 3 lb channel cat and two crappie this weekend on her barbie pole. She carries that pole around all the time.
  11. 845.7, releasing 2980cfs, so it's dropping. Last weekend water very stained on Lindley side. Caught a limit of crappie casting jigs in front of brush, but had to work a lot harder for them than last couple of weeks. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?site_no=06921325
  12. So if I was to go with a flood cell cranking battery and change out every couple of years, would this one be recommended? https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/interstate-batteries-1-000-marine-cranking-amp-starting-battery#repChildCatid=5768154
  13. I like the one's that start when I turn the key or pull the cord... max 3 pulls. But I'm sure there's more of a debate out there. Was my 1978 9.9 evinrude a crossflow or looper? That son of a gun started on the second pull for 20 years.
  14. I haven't heard it.
  15. Since no one has replied, and it's happy hour at the gumboot house...it looks to me like a specialized trout boat for tail water fisheries. I would imagine it would be fine on on some ozark streams, but there's a reason most river jets are aluminum. I wouldn't want to run it far on a wide open, wind blown reservoir. I have a really wide 16' flat bottom aluminum jon with a 25hp outboard, and I don't like running that thing over much of a chop on a big lake. Not comfortable. Disclaimer...comments may be influenced by pale ale and tequila, but they truthfully represent my experience. Cheers.
  16. Twice. Wife says it was October when we put it up...not September. You have a PM.
  17. Here ya go
  18. Lots and LOTS of discussion on the BBC boards. It's the basic Ford/Chevy debate. They're very purty.
  19. Yes, and even air dry... if that's how you roll.
  20. Actually, butt wiping has come a long way. This current model will change your world...and save you lots of paper. Please don't pull my man card.
  21. My before trolling motors was a narrow 14' john boat, a seat cushion, and a scullin paddle. And a 3 hp(I think) Eska that you needed a pocketful of shear pins for a days fishin in the sloughs and bayous where I grew up.
  22. Sophia
  23. Looks pretty sharp for a 53 year old motor.
  24. You are blessed with an embarrassment of riches.
  25. Dang Mopan, just saw this. I know you'll beat it! All the Corp bashing legions need you. Take care and get well.
