  1. Ok I am going to put one toe on the soap box for a minute. Taxes...I am just a plain old factory worker. I worked somewhere north of 3700hrs last year. I received the 1st stimulus check $600 bucks or something. My wife works at Casey's less maybe 40hrs a week. After applying the 4 checks that we didn't get (2 for me 2 for her) and our donations which are fairly sizable for folks like us, we broke even (I like to brake even, the thought of giving the man and interest free loan for a year makes me mad, I'll save my own money). The accountant said that I had better start paying more in or we will have a big bill at the end of the year. I said no way, I will just defer more into my 401, I guess. I reckon they will take that soon too. Stimulus checks, fine it's our money anyway, so why pay it back? I don't get it? Sure would like to hide some cash, I don't who hears me say it. I have held a job since I was 16 I'm 53. That's a lot of taxes ! I am a fair mechanic, Glen needs help, he can pay me under the table😜
  2. Not sure, I asked for a quote and gave a description of the application. I figure water soaked carpet probably is heavy.
  3. Well I still haven't redone my boat flooring. I have a 2004 tracker deep V dual console. The decking appears to be marine plywood. It's beginning to warp in places. I am looking for a wood alternative that I don't have to cover or paint, if there is such a thing. What do you all think of this? https://www.miuraboard.com/
  4. Very nice catches and report, thank you !
  5. Now the bass have to get bigger. Let's see if evolution really works 😁

  8. I'll take the box with the hell benders. Did you quit fishing?
  9. I haven't had much luck with it. As a welder, I always hated trying to repair something someone tried that stuff on. I am sure it has it's use.
  10. Here are some pictures from my trim repair, I hope this will help others to understand at least part of the mechanicals. If you have an understanding of hydraulics, it's a pretty basic little pump. If not, I would hire someone. Something that is very note worthy, knowing what to ask for, is half the battle. There are a couple small springs that go behind the needle valves, not shown. Shown one badly worn needle valve that allowed pressure to bleed off. Good luck
  11. I understand, I repaired the valves on mine. Mine was drifting down though, so it's probably a different valve. I didn't realize that there was a detent valve for impact, that's good to know. Thank you again
  12. Its like mushroom hunting
  13. Why do they crack? Water contamination? Mine is the same model or very near it 2004 merc 75hp 2 stroke
  14. My daughter has found some near Anderson Mo. She is good at it.
  15. I just cut a large choke cherry, it's dry and split, I am contemplating cutting another. This one was over 24" at the base. I have used some of it myself. Make an offer, if you want some. It can be picked up near Carthage Mo. The cash will go to my grandson who helped me split it. Most sticks are between 16 and 18 inches long Thanks Dan 417 669 8872 I'm on dayshift for the next 2 weeks. Text is probably best.
  16. I would be interested in the st croix.
  17. I know that's right!
  18. I can't name 100 species, am I alone? These guys are too smart for me.
  19. Yum makes a small craw I use on the creek alot.
  20. Question: I have been thinking I would throw a bait or 3 at some walleye, below the dam, maybe from a kayak or from the bank, so the question is, am I going to have to fight my way through a crowd of people or is it relatively quiet around the 1st week of February? ( barring any flooding) Thanks it's a pretty fair drive for me, so a little intell' would be great.
  21. I like to use a dropshot with minnows, and it is very snag resistant, even in heavy cover.
  22. I have used a refurbished elite 7 for around 10yrs, I still have and like it. Not sure if they are all that good
  23. Ok I thought we might be able to split the cost on the gen 2, 8 you keep the ducer, and lss2, I keep the head unit. I understand your need now, thanks.
