  2. I've got 2. Used them last Fall to throw crankbaits and they worked flawlessly. I was impressed! Read the setup instructions and they work as advertised. There is a dial, 1-4, for different lines you may throw; braid, mono, fluoro, etc. I throw 30lb power pro, setting for braid is 2. Not even a quarter turn overspin without even using my thumb to stop the spool. Couldn't believe it! Tried setting 1 and it did backlash, so again, follow the setup instructions and it does the job.
  3. Fiskars blunt nose scissors for kids. Wally World had them on sale a few months ago for 99 cents. I bought a few for my grandkids. I kept a pair at my fishing table to open packages and by chance picked them up to cut braid tags when I tied on some lures. They cut the braid like a hot knife thru butter. I now have a couple pair on the boat.
  4. If any of your setups require a hitchhiker or centering pin to attach your plastic to a hook, here is an option that works for elaztech baits. Called a Stickr' Pin. The coil hitchhikers are almost impossible to get into elaztech but these pins are straight with barbs. They do very well alone but with a dab of glue, they are exceptional. Mr Twister has them on some of their hooks but they don't sell them unless you buy them already attached to a hook, at least to my knowledge. I've been searching for these for awhile and finally came across them the other day. Not affiliated with them whatsoever, just sharing. http://moanerhooks.com/product/stickr-pins/
  5. Dutch, curious as to what setups have you come up with to rig smaller teaser tubes weedless, 2.5-2.75" tubes? I've experimented with draggin style hooks, used Dave's ned heads, used wacky hooks to rig them as "stupid" heads, used different internal weights on 1/0 EWG hooks. 1/0 is the largest hook that will still get a bite in the body of the tube when rigged in texas style to be weedless. Eakins made up some standard tube style jigs (1/0) with wire weedguards that I will try this year. All of these work for me, just wondering what else you may know of. Thanks, Rockhopper
  6. Merc1997, are those jig heads with the mono guards your own pour or are they mass produced? Thanks, RH
  7. Dave, I don't get on the forum too much and just saw this. My family is praying for yours and that your wife continues to improve. God is good!
  8. Just placed my order. Everything looks awesome, great job guys!
  9. Thanks, glad to hear he's fine! If you talk to him tell him John from VA says hey.
  10. I sent him an email a few days ago as well to check on him and wish a him a Merry Christmas but haven't received a reply. Not like him. I've ordered some jigs from him a few times and we've just talked thru email, he has been a wealth of info to me and a sincere nice guy. Hoping he is doing well!
  11. Haven't seen any posts from Dave in a while. Anyone know if he's doing well?
