    When I was a youngster fishing Bennett I used a spinning reel on a 9’ fly rod to dead drift glo balls on 2 pound test. Absolutely deadly with that setup.

    Seems like all the parks had more and bigger fish back then. I was going to them all regularly starting in the 60’s. The fishing has declined steadily since then. To the point that I rarely go anymore. And even then, only in the winter.

    I caught 3 fat keeper spots off the dock after lunch. Ned. 2 nice channels too. Close to 20”s for sure.

    Hit the water at 6, WT 84. Quit at noon. Caught em on the black buzzer until around 9:30. Pictures are of the best ones. Biggest was 19”. Had 15 in the boat and missed that many at least. They hammered it! Switched to a jig and caught em here and there until a surf boat decided it was a good cove for them too.

    I think @jdmidwest had a double hookup on both hands?? I fish alone so much it's one of my biggest fears. All jerk baits get the barbs pinched. But I've resisted doing it to crank baits. I don't think it's changed my landing percentage by pinching them. My buddy laughed at me for the leather glove and long needle nose pliars. I just said, well you go ahead and reach in there to get your bait....😀

    A guy in our condo association has the biggest surf boat I’ve ever seen. Tigé. Needs a triple axle trailer. They had over 10 people in it. Giant boat! GIANT WAKE!!!
