  1. I've heard that but have never had them. I don't like to clean fish and then eat them. Pete
  2. Bring a boat. Pete
  3. I'll be down Labor Day weekend to check this out. Can't wait!! Pete
  4. I have a 55 lb. thrust troller and it pushes my 8' pond prowler pretty good. Pete
  5. The best gar hole I've seen in a while is 370 Lakeside Park in St Peters MO. The place is filthy with em and you can walk around the bank easy enough. I prefer nylon rope for them. Easy to cast and it tangles in their teeth. I use white with the head area painted red. It's very difficult to get a hook into a big one. Pete
  6. Heck that boat for sale on here used is $52K. I'd be embarrassed to pull it in my $40K truck. That thing is stud. That clown picture in your sig scares me a little. Carry on. Pete
  7. Rim Shoals on the White years ago in the rain. Little 9 or 10 inch rainbow hit my green wooly bugger I was stripping on my 5 weight. While I was dragging it in a 27 inch male brown nailed it. I chased the double down river for quite a ways when I saw the little rainbow had slid up the fly line. The brown had the bugger in his mouth and it must've pulled through the bottom of the rainbows mouth like a stringer. While the rainbow flailed around it broke through it's bottom jaw and my brother grabbed it with his hands. I corralled the brown down the island and I have several pictures of it. It was all kyped up and bloody. Happened during the conclave in October. I have paper pictures of it. Sorry no digital back then. Pete
  8. Bug A Salt. Just ordered the 2.0 version. Greatest invention ever. Beer, patio loaded with bugs and a Bug A Salt, doesn't get better than that. Pete
  9. Davy knot is the best ever. Especially when flouro tippet is so expensive. When you get good at it there is no tag end at all and it doesn't put the curly Q near the eye. http://www.animatedknots.com/davy/ I'll show it to in person when we have the next OA outing in AR. I tie it upside down compared to the video. Pete
  10. You did the right thing. I've been on the receiving end of shots fired and it's a whole different ballgame. Pete
  11. Wouldn't rule it out. Nothing in the MDC laws about it. Pete
  12. Me and the kids love shooting them with the AR. Rock towers not snakes. Pete
  13. That hurts!! As I reply to this from the Cube Farm. Pete
  14. Too late. 29 views in 2 hours. Sorry for your impending loss.
  15. I like to hook them through the shell back so their legs splay out. Pete
  16. Those are my daughters QB! Pete
  17. Maui Jim
  18. Nice looking fly! I've been out west many times and years I ago I discovered that I could tie caddis flies in several different body colors and that's all I would use. Killed em. Barring a specific hatch like green drakes or something. The other method I found that not many people do out there is fishing streamers on sinking lines. Also killed em. Pete
  19. I agree. I see it all the time in my area. Heck, half the time I think they report rumor and here say as facts. Send the editor a note. Pete
  20. Hmmm. Sounds similar to your "Help me settle an argument" post. Maybe the new bride has more juice than you thought. You'll prolly be home early for dinner now. Pete
  21. I heard they stocked it but I not sure with what. Mid summer last year there were literally hundreds of gar cruising around. Our mill is just south of 370 on that exit. Pete
  22. Barely enough room at the first outlet for two guys. Take a ticket and wait your turn at the second. Pete
  23. If anybody is around just send me a PM. I'll check in occasionally. Pete
  24. I have a picture of my mom smoking a Camel non and drinking a Manhattan while pregnant with me but women like me. Just ask my wife's sister. You have a lot of hate in you Joe. Let it out, you'll feel better. Pete
  25. I remember those days because I'm doing it today. Pete
