    I knew what you meant😆. Maybe so. I’ve come to realize I hate people so if there were less of them I would be happier. My wife is getting mad at me because I won’t go anywhere anymore. But I have noticed that she is hating more people too. So I’m winning 😂

    I cover a lot of miles on the Katy trail on my bike and they are definitely coming out of the bottoms up to the bluffs. Happens every year spring and fall. All headed the same way. Turtles too. In the spring they all head to the bottoms.

    Amen! I used to go to a sweet private hunt in north st charles county. $50. Cut sunflowers, breakfast and ladies cleaning your birds. I miss that deal.

    Did you go to Busch? I live pretty close but haven’t been in years due to crowds. Last time I tried, guys had camped all night at Weldon Spring to save their spots. Literally a guy every 40 - 50 yards all over the fields. Crazy!

    I think it’s like that on most of the Ozark rivers now. Trout and smallmouth catches have really declined over the past 20-30 years. Public MDC lakes are the same way. IMHO. Thanks for the report though.

    I was lucky as a kid my dad took me out west (Wyoming and Montana) all the time. I was never overly impressed with the fishing. Except some private access streams that he had access to. Those were off the charts. I think we’re spoiled with our tail water fishing. But if you look at it as a whole experience of the area and scenery it’s great. Like a vacation with some fishing mixed in.

    I love chasing red fish. I looked through old pictures and I’ve only eaten smaller ones mainly around NOLA. Some in FL. I could see where a big one could be tough.

    I got the small one from Lowe’s that folds up. Blue rhino I think. It’s great for just my wife and daughter and I. You guys are going to make me get a pellet smoker yet😆

    Freshly stocked, pellet fed, hatchery trout lightly sautéed in a little butter with salt so that liver taste real shines through. Mmm, mmm.

    My kids bought me a masterbuilt. Didn’t finish the first smoke. Computer out. Got a replacement for free. Computer out. Returned it. Still using an old cabellas cylinder that I’ve replaced the element in twice. Doesn’t have a thermometer or anything. I use it all the time. Every time I look to buy a pellet smoker, I read the reviews, don’t buy one and throw a Boston butt on my old piece of crap. 😂

    I just got back from Wisconsin and while there, I stopped at one of the many dams along the Wisconsin River. There were so many dead turtles and fish that my wife got the dry heaves and had to wait in the truck.😂 Turkey vultures freaked her out too.
