abkeenan you are not doing it right....to get the good stuff you need to call the cove not to be spoken of a separate country...we would then ship you everything that you need to sustain yourself and your infrastructure. That way you wouldnt have to put up with the hand me downs C4F

Great report Bill....I guess that is why they call it fishing... One thing that jumped out to me was you giving the client the option to fish or not. That smacks of integrity and not typical these days...thanks!! C4F

Quill - as the guys said no real sad feelings and maybe a bit of jealousy since you are fishing and some of us are living vicariously through these posts just to get through the workday...but it does suck to miss that many! Thanks for the report! C4F

Thanks for sharing Quill...I have done the jerk bait thing a time or two but up here in our ponds there doesn't seem to be much love. That and I think I get bored to quickly and mess up the cadence. I think I just admitted that it is the fisherman and not the fish!?!? C4F

Curtisce that is one fat Bass!! Thanks for the pictures. C4F

Mike - nice report and you must be a great teacher if your friend was able to pick up a bait caster and not have a "professional overcast" the first couple of times.... Sounds like fish may be transitioning...but if Bill struggles.....I am not sure what to think!?!? But I am envious of the both of you... A question - if everyone knows about the anonymous cove is it really anonymous? Just asking for a friend...😉 C4F

Travis you are right.....first thing in the morning right below Fall Creek there are some real stout fish biting! I have to assume they are working down from the trophy area. C4F -

Seasonal Oxygen Issues & Handling Trout, Lake Taneycomo

The fish are fighting and strong...some were wearing out but time in the water using the net to revive them and they swam off in good shape. I had the best luck early in the morning using a sculpin and olive jig and of course the old faithful pink worm. I have not fished with any kind of live bait for years.....brought the wife this week and she loves worms so that is what she used....low and behold she caught a 3 lb+ rainbow down by Monkey Island. 😒 C4F -
Great looking fish there....we had similar success but it was really slow for us....my best time was before 6 a.m. up by Fall Creek. All were on a sculpin and olive jig C4F

Travis is right about the 8' pole and 2lb line....I became a believer years ago in 2 lb line... and that is all I fish with....it can be a real PITA to tie a jig or whatever when everything is wet....the 8' pole does give you better leverage, but I have also done well on the Lilley's 6' special. The key is to watch the float, keep slack out of the line - and if the water is clear many times you can see the jig or pink worm....when it disappears set the hook. The weight of the jig depends on water flow...the slower or no generation the smaller weight. I learned how to "snap" the rod by watching Phil's reports....that is an incredible effective technique. 2021 Ozark Anglers Fantasy Fishing League
crazy4fishin replied to abkeenan's topic in Table Rock Lake
This was a fun year for sure....congrats to all of the winners! I am not sure how you guys picked the constant winners like you did....maybe you can look into the future some? Is there a YouTube tutorial in the works as to how the average frank fisherman can pick better? I look forward to next year and thanks Brett for taking your time to organize it! p.s. will we all be getting a participation trophy? I am sure it will help us feel better about our losses. C4F -
Quill and crew - I am in for a tourney! 3 fish or 1 works for me. I agree about the entry fee going to CAM, or any other ministry that has a need, but we could also bring fishing gear to donate in Bo's name to the school...someone should reach out and see what the needs are so we are not donating that Bill Dance eel lure that I am sure we (me) bought into. 🙄 C4F

In September of 2019 I went to Bo's house at his invitation to buy a few jigs....four hours later after great conversation, cool stories and philosophy about life and fishing I left with much MUCH more tackle than I had intended. He was telling me how it all started for him and the thoughts behind the various designs that he was selling and opinions on the competition etc. I was wishing that I had taken notes! It was a great time and I believe that I was blessed just to share in the conversation....yes, he will truly be missed but he sure touched a lot of people with his thoughts and jigs! Prayers for his family C4F

Great report and pictures Bill - thanks.....I am living vicariously through these as I sit at a desk!! C4F -
I have Palaniuk also....But Bill Lowen might be one that sneaks in. I almost choose Kennedy in my fantasy roster but thought nah! C4F
