  1. I'm on my last 4 years of high school. If we survive this one we are getting out. On a lake, river, or beach, TBD by the Queen.
  2. The tubes make it so simple. And you don't have to buy them, you probably already have something that will work just as well.
  3. They really aren't able to enforce any of it but I don't blame them. A lot of people are really annoying with them.
  4. Pile on the material. Pull it tight and make one cut. Done.
  5. You are in a good spot to do some fishing. Love it here. Both Springfield and this forum.
  6. All my trip up there was ever going to be was lame so I just stayed home. But I would like to get in on some of that dry fly stuff in the next few weeks. Out to NC this weekend so it will have to be after that.
  7. Another good year for those fellas.
  8. Bingo! One of my favorite places to fly fish is one that you would think would suck for fly fishing, walking the beach. I guarantee you that I can catch way more fish with gear on the beach. I prove that just about every summer. But those 20-30 spin fishing mornings aren't nearly as memorable as those 5 fly fish mornings. For some it's an efficiency, numbers, size game. For others it's like Wrench says, a whole different dimension. I used to be the efficiency, numbers, size guy, so I understand the draw to that. And it's honorable. But for me, I'm glad I found the other dimension.
  9. If you were good in the past it won’t take long to get it back. Plus shooting clays is a blast. Suck or not it should be fun. I should go duck hunting sometime.
  10. Sounds like a challenge.
  11. I like these spots that most fisherman avoid.
  12. Just give me all 8 and we can call it a done deal. Yes put me in. I would like to go show one to some smallmouth I know.
  13. Interesting color combination. Would like to see that one in the sun. Pomme should be getting really good soon.
  14. I'm hoping to see you there but I don't know if I'm going to make it. Still trying.
  15. If I had a boat that’s where I would take it.
  16. Well that's better than being the resident forum douchebag.
  17. I was thinking cold blue but that Duracoat looks interesting. I'd get to coat the gun and play with their product. I've also read about the method that Wrench mentioned. But this one doesn't need all that. It's an old Ruger Mark? that I found in a cabinet when cleaning out all my dad's fishing stuff. He probably bought it off of one of his employees when they needed cash. He had done that several times. It's in no way sentimental except the fact that we refinished one like it when I was in high school. And it can just look better than it does. All it gets used for is murdering empty cans a couple of times a year.
  18. There are some dings and pits. And the finish has worn off in most places. Not trying to make it a nice gun just know that it can be better than what it is. Looked at some other finishes but I think rebluing would be best. Did one just like it in high school but that was a long time ago.
  19. Firearm. Just an old 22 that could look better.
  20. I know this isn't related to your airguns, but where is a good source of information for refurbishing a pistol?
  21. Yeah it was awesome. Unless of course you were on a tight schedule and needed to get out of center city Springfield and past the airport. Then it really, really, really sucked.
  22. Same here.
  23. It's been a while but the attendant is usually gone after Labor day and we never had a problem unloading at the other ramp out of camping season. That south ramp has been an issue during low water for at least the last 30 years. Don't see why they would spend the money now.
  24. It's amazing that fish are so smart to figure things like that out and birds are really stupid because they can't figure it out. That last fish made an amazing attempt but I'm going to have to give him a 7 because of the huge splash on re-entry.
