I would not go on a cruise ever. I don’t like people that much. I was supposed to take my wife to float the Buffalo next week but it’s really low and it’s going to be super hot.

Change the way your juicing and it's always worth it.

Been that way since at least the 80’s and I don’t see that ever ending. I see people buying lottery tickets and spending their money in casinos hoping for a miracle so it doesn’t surprise me. In the early 90s I fished a small monthly tournament series out of a marina every single month for several years. Usually 45-60 boats. And you could pick out a group of 4 to 6 boats that would be the guys that won. I remember it well because that was my goal. To be one of the few that all the others didn’t want to show up. And time after time they were the ones. Sure an occasional odd duck would get lucky and get into the money but it was that small group that were always the ones to watch. I often wondered why some of the others even showed up.

Fly fishing the surf is one of my favorite things. Going to be September before I get a chance this year.

Man sure are a lot of Nancy fisherman these days. The answer whether to go fishing is always yes. My wife and I left our house at 10:30 on Sunday to go float. Were there tons of people? Yep. Did we still have a great time? Yep. It's summer, get over it.

Don't you guys know that the fish belong to tournament anglers? They are the only ones that are allowed to abuse the resource. They shouldn't even let you regular fisherman target bass.

When you are afraid of doctors you will come up with whatever makes you feel good.

Second pic from the bottom he ain't smiling. He's actually quite pissed. The fish keep chasing his rooster tail but they won't eat. But this is towards the end he has refused most instruction from his dad and I all day so we just let him struggle it out. I bought him 6 rooster tails before the float. He's on number 6 at this point. The rest are tree ornaments. #6 didn't make it to the takeout either.

My nephew wanted his dad to take him kayaking down a river for the first time for Father's Day. He has floated a few times before in a canoe or raft with his mom and dad but never alone in a kayak. They built a new house on a little lake and got him a kayak so he can handle the boat but I thought it would be interesting to see how he handled it on the river. Actually it was very fun. He's not scared of anything, tries to go the roughest way possible, or backwards, through any tough spots. Luckily the James isn't that tough, but we were able to have some fun and catch a few fish.

Being an American citizen gives you skin in the game. To take the rights of others so you get your way is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

I did this at a big tournament on Table Rock a long time ago. I took over for a lady that was trying to back a trailer in while her husband was sitting in the boat screaming at her. When I got him loaded and up the ramp another lady walked over and handed me her keys. I did 5 or 6 in a row while my dad and his buddies made fun of me. But I did walk away with about 50 bucks too. I guess I've just never been in that big of a hurry to be a turd.

You guys are acting like ramp ignorance is something new. From Memorial Day to Labor Day it's going to be entertaining. Always has, always will.

Maybe not crazy high but it’s still high. About 900 cfs above normal. Higher up though it is running more normal. Crane should be fine.

Let's not teach him the ways of the ignorant.

Men's spring camp out and fishing trip done for 2022...
Flysmallie replied to Steve McBasser's topic in Table Rock Lake
I've never been with a paid guide that even made it an option other than the saltwater guides. People on vacation to the salt, that go on a trip expect to take home some fish. Whether they know what they are going to do with it doesn't matter, they just know they are supposed to keep some. Same if you go on a guided trout trip on taneycomo. Same if you go on a catfishing trip. Same if you go on a striper trip or paddlefish trip. Go to Alaska? You better send a bunch of fish back. But now on this particular body of water you shouldn't. I'm not saying that they should. But that's what their expectations are. Luckily we have a lot of great guides in the are that would rather make their client mad than put a knife to a TR bass. However, as long as there is a market for it, there will be guys out there taking that money. That you can bet on. -
That's awesome. Did either of you change your facebook statuses to "in a relationship" yet?

Well if it's good enough for the Missouri Smallmouth Alliance it should be good enough for anyone LMAO. Most of these places aren't that great and hopefully this can put more pressure on those stretches and leave the really good spots alone. If you need an award to go fishing you need to sell your stuff and take up golfing.

It's just like high school all the time where you live.

May Fishing in Maryland and parts East
Flysmallie replied to Johnsfolly's topic in U.S.A. - North & East Regions
They all look like successful trips to me. -
Everything is meant to be fished. If I fished they would only get fished once. I rarely fish a fly more than once, unless I absolutely have to. I’ve always been that way. It’s ignorant but it’s my messed up way.

I had almost quit doing it while floating but last year I decided that the only way to get better at fly fishing out of a kayak was to just do it. And since I have to take my wife almost every weekend I just did it. It's still a disaster but it's an enjoyable disaster. You can let that little yellow fly just drift down along the river with you and have plenty of fun. Just give it a tiny wiggle every once in a while.

Thank you John. I really appreciate all the kind words. I enjoy creating things and this is what happens when you spend too much time in the garage. And I've been doing a lot of that lately to keep me away from the mind suck of a computer and/or TV screen. (even though I did just buy myself an Xbox)

Yeah I have this thing for spending way too much time and money making them look pretty. The fish don’t care. I’m not sure you would want to pay what it costs to paint one. I would like to mold my own foam heads but haven’t taken that step yet. It really needs to happen though.
