  1. Because it’s quick and easy. All I need most of the time is the CFS. 3 small taps of the screen and I have what I need. Open the app. Click on favorites. Choose the gauge from my custom list. Quit making things so difficult.
  2. The colors are getting close.
  3. The Unforgiven, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Dirty Harry, High Plains Drifter. He's also responsible for the worst movie I have ever seen. The Bridges of Madison County. That was pure torture.
  4. I don't know if it's available for Android but I use RiverData. It's just pulling the info from USGS but makes it simple.
  5. All three of our girls have drug me through there numerous times. It's pretty impressive. The walk down is quite impressive. I have a buddy that I have floated with for the past 30 years and we have explored a lot of caves along rivers. I have no idea where we even were, a problem with a lot of our trips, but we went into a cave that he knew of but hadn't been in. He knew it went far enough back that we would need our flashlights. We made a couple of turns and it got pretty dark in there. He goes around a corner from me and I shut my light off and freeze. I can hear him continuing on and talking about some bones in there. He soon realizes I'm not right there with him. I'm not that far from him but where I'm at he can't see me. I hear him call out my name. I didn't respond of course. He hollers again a little bit louder. Nothing. By the third calling his voice cracked and he came running. And of course I jumped out and scared the hell out of him. Funniest thing ever. For me. Second funniest thing was him peeing on my leg and ending up with poison ivy on his peter. But that's another story.
  6. Biggest bass I have ever seen. And it was my dad's fault. Compensation was beer and a huge steak. Which was the same compensation I would have received if I would have landed it or caught nothing at all.
  7. Is that circus fishing supposed to be fun?
  8. I understand what you guys are saying, that the poor conditions of the job drive people away. But what I’m saying is that there is no shortage of trucks on the road. Spend enough time driving up and down the highways and you will see the number of trucks hasn’t changed. So obviously something else has changed. And it wasn’t “closing” a pipeline that didn’t exist. I don’t buy the younger generation BS either. I always hear that they don’t want to work hard. But I have surrounded myself with a large group of younger people that do work hard. Do all younger people work hard? Definitely not. But neither do more mature people. Even some veterans have been shown the door because of poor work ethic. I’m not doubting any one else’s experience, but from my own experiences I realize that something else is different. One thing that I have noticed is the appearance of the younger crowd. And I think that is a lot of what keeps them from being able to land a decent job. It hasn’t been that long ago that we weren’t allowed to hire anyone with visible tattoos. Well when you get desperate that stuff goes out the window. I recently hired a young lady that I wish I had 50 of. Early 20’s. Smart as can be, highly self motivated, works her butt off. However my supervisor about passed out when he met her. I hadn’t warned him about her tats or pink/blue/blonde hair. She’s going to end up managing one of my locations someday soon.
  9. I keep hearing about the shortage of truck drivers. I hear it from our suppliers and from truck drivers themselves. But what has happened in the trucking industry? There doesn't seem to be a shortage of trucks on the road or in truck stops.
  10. I don’t have a clue who wins but that campus is on fire about their football team. We made an official visit to U of A with daughter #3 today and that’s all they talked about. Oh and it looks like my kid is going to be a hog. And I’m good with that. And that new Bella Vista Bypass is freaking awesome!!
  11. Actually I have. What have you done to help? The problem is that only helps one group of people. I gave up a portion of my bonus to my group. I fight tooth and nail to give them raises. In the past two months I have promoted two people from 14-15 per hour to a nice salary with monthly bonuses and potential for annual bonuses. I work my butt off to make sure they get every penny they can. One of those is going from 14 an hour to making 65k this year. I do my best to get them as much as I can. By the way I have a couple of positions open in STL. They start around 14 but one of those is going to turn into a 60k opportunity for the person that does their job and proves they deserve a bigger role.
  12. But they don't have to raise the price at all. Just need to quit funding huge bonuses to upper management, quit catering to a board of directors and Wall Street. It can be done if we didn't always have to have record profits. I know this because I'm part of that management that gets the big bonus for record profits. I see the the stock grow. I know what my stores are paying in management fees. And I get a salary that is probably more than it should be. Plus a lot of other perks that pushes the cost of employing me way over what the folks that are actually making the sales earn. It's a screwed up system. Luckily I only have 2.5 years left of this and then I can go do something different.
  13. It's not a paint issue. It's a using cheap coatings issue. It could be resolved but they refuse to pay for the coatings that would hold up. It's not rocket science but I'm sure they are saving some bucks and padding their GP.
  14. It’s not just fast food. It’s hard to find anyone to do anything. And the “welfare system” hasn’t changed anything. We were so happy for states to end the extra COVID cash but once it ended nothing got any better.
  15. It’s not just fast food. It’s hard to find anyone to do anything.
  16. I’m not a fan either. It’s not horrible but there is better meat out there for me.
  17. On the days I need more space I take a canoe. But a day float? The kayak wins hands down. And my butt doesn't even get wet. You just have to get the right ones.
  18. Well that would just piss Charlie off.
  19. Been a long time since I blasted down 44 in the Camry with a 17 foot canoe strapped to the top and an 15 footer on top of that. You do what you have to do.
  20. My buddy @Harpshas an extender that slides into his hitch receiver. We’ve hauled his 15 and my 17 all over the place.
  21. I’ve got to go on a tour of University of Arkansas on the 1st but may come up Saturday for a bit. I know one of those reps is in need of a hard time from me.
  22. Well at least it was killed for more than just a trophy.
  23. I think it's probably really close to some great spinnerbait action. My best spots are further up around Birch but you are definitely in some good water. Did you venture into Googer?
  24. Shoe goo some 3Ds on there. If you just put a big dab on the eye and just lay it on there and it won't be all squished in. Can only do one side at a time though.
  25. I like that chubby bastard.
