    Nice post straw hat . I can assure you that no one will be laughing if they end up in the water during their little winter trips.

    I am pretty sure my Boston Whaler is better suited to not turning over in the wind and besides I try to have someone in the boat with me instead of being by myself. It seems as if you have a premonition that something bad can happen on a winter yak trip.

    Fishing by yourself in a yak during the winter with at or below freezing temps and water temps in the low 40's, what part of that is not very safe .

    I judge how many fish I catch ,not so much my casting skills. I can say that saltwater flyfishing requires more skill than most freshwater applications
