  1. Fort Lost in the Woods as we called it. Wonderful place (not).
  2. That would be neat to get one that sized. It was great to fish with you and John, look forward to doing it again.
  3. I've got an Ultrex Quest and I can adjust the settings through my Helix depthfinder. I have not messed with the scale settings, but Dutch has changed his because he was having an issue with the boat holding in wind (I think that was why he changed the settings), @Dutch. Here's the official explanation: Trolling motor performance can be impacted by factors including, but not limited to, wind, water conditions, boat specifications, battery health, wiring, etc. Boat Scale provides a method of adjusting how the trolling motor will perform to account for these and other variables. The Minn Kota trolling motor comes from the factory with Boat Scale set to zero. Boat Scale can be adjusted up (+2) or down (-2) to increase or decrease how the motor control software applies power while using a navigation mode like Spot-Lock. An example showing the need to reduce Boat Scale would be while using Spot-Lock and the motor is over-correcting or making frequent adjustments. In this case, try reducing Boat Scale to -1 to reduce this behavior. If the behavior continues, reduce Boat Scale to -2. An example showing the need to increase Boat Scale while using Spot-Lock would be the motor is drifting away from its target location frequently or needs help to make corrections. Try increasing Boat Scale to +1 to help improve the trolling motor accuracy in this case. If the behavior continues, increase Boat Scale to +2.
  4. Do you have an Ultrex? There's a setting called "Boat Scale" which I believe you can adjust for wind to keep from getting blown off a spot.
  5. Check this out, wind on Ray Roberts on one of the practice days for the Classic this week. (You can X out of the Milliken pop-up) Instagram
  6. 1st Taneyfest for me too. It was fun, I plan on being back next year.
  7. I don't like fishing in high winds, so it looks like my next opportunity will be Saturday, probably will fish the dam end of Beaver and see if the lake smallies are getting feisty.
  8. Yeah, I still remember the words to the marching songs. I was in the Army and even though we did a lot of drill, it wasn't as much as the Marines did. If I recall at the time Marine Boot Camp was 11 weeks, Army Basic 8 weeks. September 15, 2025 will make it 50 years since I reported to Fort Leonard Wood to start Basic. Time flies.
  9. Marines marching is a sight to behold.
  10. I always like to see them.
  11. Drove over to Wally World, saw that the redbuds are starting to pop. Seems early.
  12. It cleared out here, it stayed aloft and didn't mess anything up. Temps have dropped.
  13. Winder than heck today, air has a brownish look to it, dust I guess, I don't smell any smoke.
  14. Well sboot, AR and MO playing at the same time. I could record MO, but they will be showing the score on the ticker while I am watching AR, and try as I might, it is hard to ignore that ticker.
  15. Happy Birthday Pat! It's your 29th right? 😃
  16. BPS has the Frittsides at $5.50 each.
  17. Time to break out the cranks!
  18. Tom W sends me his big fish pictures, Saturday he caught a 6-12 and a 4 something. Crankbaits - he's being cagey about model and color.
  19. I don't have any predictions, but I hope Arkansas makes it to the sweet 16. Arkansas is playing Kansas in the 1st round. This is one year that I believe AR has a good chance against the JH's. I'm pulling for MO also; they have a tough matchup against Drake. Saw a pundit that thinks Drake will go far. I'm rooting for Gonzaga too. Those are my teams, AR, MO, and Gonzaga - I doubt any of them will make it to the Final Four.
  20. Old lady that used to live across the street from me was a serious alcoholic. She was drunk one night, fell and broke her hip. They took her to the emergency room, she was in some serious pain, but they could not give her any pain meds until the alcohol wore off.
  21. Nice looking rifles. I still get the urge to get either a .17 HMR or a .22 magnum to do some squirrel hunting in the winter. If I get the .22 magnum then that would give me an excuse to get a pistol in .22 magnum for target shooting. Not that I need an excuse.
  22. You don't want to be crawling around here especially on St. Paddy's Day. Local cops have stated they will be on the lookout for DUI types this weekend. We've got a lot of cops in this town.
  23. Bad storm system for sure, looks like it is still causing damage as it moves through Georgia.
  24. Fire weather warning for this area starting Monday afternoon. They just did a controlled burn on the Pea Ridge battlefield last week.
