  1. Well I was getting ready to whine and moan about the lousy choices I made, but I looked at our league and I am in 2nd place! This really has been a goofy tourney. I didn't have a single person make the final day.
  2. Ozark Marine Electronics advertises they will come to you to do an install. Don't know if they'll come up to where you are at, number is 918-944-9206. You can also find them on Facebook. I have no experience with them, but they get good recommendations on FB.
  3. Those are some great fish!
  4. I'd donate another $20 to see that.
  5. I never do well on these FL tourneys, so no surprise to me that I, once again, picked a bunch of bums.
  6. For years I thought Up on Cripple Creek was a Dead song. But found out it was The Band. Up on Cripple Creek, she sends me If I spring a leak, she mends me I don't have to speak, she defends me A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one
  7. That time of the year where the bass are growing eggs and eating well. Look at this spot - not quite a keeper, but certainly has some girth. And a chunky largemouth: Most of my fish came off points on the entrance to coves, Ned rig and 2.8 Keitechs, 20-30 feet down and right on the bottom. Caught 14 bass, 4 were keeps and a couple of 17" walleye. There's an icy stretch of road once you get past the guardhouse and right before you take the left to go down to the ramp. Frozen snow and slush. Just have to take it slow through it, maybe after tomorrow it will be gone, but it was still there when I left this afternoon. WT41-45.
  8. Ain't found a way to kill me yet Eyes burn with stinging sweat Seems every path leads me to nowhere Wife and kids, household pet Army green was no safe bet The bullets scream to me from somewhere Here they come to snuff the rooster Yeah, here come the rooster You know he ain't gonna die No, no, no, you know he ain't gonna die
  9. Wheeler ran away from them today.
  10. Going to Windsor today I hope the fishing is OK.
  11. That is a terrible rhyme, you wasted my time. 😄
  12. Livesay did that last year on Fork, fished shallow using the FF and threw jerks at them. Not only can they see fish, but they can size them too.
  13. Just took a look at the standings, Evers came out of nowhere and is now 2nd. Browning has zero fish so far today, but is in 5th place based on his day one catches.
  14. There were times in my life where I thought about buying rental property, but have heard so many stories of bad renters that I decided it just wasn't worth the hassle and my job kept me so busy I didn't want to mess with it. No regrets, but in hindsight, could've made some dough. Just talked to an old friend of mine that owns a 10 unit bldg with a couple of small retail shops on the ground floor. Nothing fancy, but he thinks he could get $3 million for it, paid a little over a $1 million for it a few years ago. It is in Snoqualmie WA, which is about 3o miles from downtown Seattle. Property values have exploded out there.
  15. Just watched the final few minutes of round 2, and you are right Bill, very slow. Lindner flipped a bunch of docks with a "Bubba Sot" rig with a Roboworm, he finally got one that went 1 3/4 lb.
  16. Tharp just caught a nice pickerel. 😃
  17. The A-rig thing, 12 years ago or so opened my eyes to open water bass. Dang fish were out in the middle of nowhere. FF sonar has made it easier to find them.
  18. Cut a pic, don't have any (yet).
  19. Found a JF joke today: It is a 5 minute walk from my house to the bar, and it is a 45 minute walk from the bar to my house. The difference is staggering.
  20. I am speculating that the other eye is for a treble hook if one wanted to attach one.
  21. Thought this looked interesting for deep fishing. Combines the glide of an ice jig with a plastic of your choice. Made by Berkley.
  22. That is pretty neat!
  23. This just showed up in my email, well it is an excerpt. A story of a pro and a hat! What a coincidence! Unless you've been living under a rock for the last year or so you certainly noticed the run that Bass Pro Tour professional Michael Neal has been on. What you may not have realized was Neal's specific choice in hat. During his epic 2021 season Neal wore the exact same AFTCO Watrbrorn Trucker hat, winning a Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit AOY and claiming a BPT title in the process. At the start of the 2022 season Neal considered switching out the weathered, battle proven AFTCO hat for a fresh new model. Upon further consideration Michael chose to stick with old faithful for the first event at Sam Rayburn, and see how it went. Neal went on to win the first TWPC event of the season wearing his lucky hat. At present time Neal has won a cool $434,998 wearing the exact same hat. Needless to say the hat will not be retired anytime soon!
  24. This is the hat a real pro wears:
  25. Yep, Rick may be the Vernon of snowstorms. Time for him to ease up on us a bit! Got some college hoops recorded to watch and of course there is fishing tackle to mess with. Thanksfully power has remained on. So far..
