  1. Not when you trap out all of the stupid ones. I am down to a loner on the farm.
  2. Honey badgers come with 30 round mags.
  3. I am sure glad they brought them back from almost extinction. Such a valuable species.
  4. It has been one of those weeks for some reason.. Poor bug eyed sob, rotten tail, malnurished. Probably got a big wad of stink bait on a treble in his gullet and trying to pass it. Got a good case of the tail rot too.
  5. Any muskie? I have been able to catch at least 1 every time I go in Sept or Oct. I always go in at Wheatland Park near Hermitage.
  6. Looks pretty buggy, I can see how it would work.
  7. What is a jack daniel?
  8. Sweet.
  9. They were gullible and easy for meat eaters, hence the passion. They were native and abundant.
  10. Did Cenex ever get their registers working? Might have issues again.
  11. I have gotten away with shorts and goretex waders. Really keeps you cool.
  12. Tailwaters usually run colder than spring fed streams. I would consider waders, but I don't know what your cold tolerance is. Tailwaters are usually numbing cold and you will need to go deeper for fish.
  13. Looks like BWI may have been the only cause. Running around 50-60 while restricted to 30 after dark. https://www.kfvs12.com/2023/07/31/california-man-charged-with-several-counts-bwi-after-crashing-boat-into-house-lake-ozarks/
  14. Spawn of Satan..... Least it was not her Daddy's spawn, never know in that inbreed neck of the woods... Was it a normal maxi pad, aka mouse matresses? Or one of those big ones that they are advertising that you could sleep a 5/0 yr child on that the big girls are showing on TV??
  15. Amen brother. I think they all crap there pants before they walk into Walmart, or while they are walking in Walmart. I took my 14 yo Grandson to TN a month ago fishing. He was amazed by how he was treated there. People were friendly and talked to you. They seemed to care. He told me that was where he was going to move when he got older. Around here most of the time, I am on Level Orange and safety off just waiting for a nut ball to roll up. They have been rolling around the drug dealers pretty hard here in SEMO the last few weeks.
  16. Must have been a clean break, no pecker marks.....
  17. Nice. I used to find stuff like that. Then I realized I would have to pack it all up for the final move to the farm for retirement. I stopped cold turkey. But on way to farm last week, I picked up 2 old dirty baitcasters at hardware store when I was looking at gun selection. Both should clean up well, still work fine. Moved my trailer load of duck and geese decoys out tonite, needed trailer at farm this weekend. No need to haul it empty. Forgot I had that collection, been out of it since radiation. But farm is only 30 minutes from Duck Creek, I will be hitting it in retirement.
  18. I plan on Truman the weekend of indigenous species, aka the old Columbus Day we all grew up with.. May run across up there.
  19. Why don't they put one on the spare tire?? That's the only one I really care about having air in it when I have a flat tire and it's always hidden from view...
  20. Man, I want to go back before I get too old to do it. Its a wonderful place, all of it.
  21. Truman?
  22. What does a fish like that do to a lower unit running at speed??
  23. I really don't know the regs on smallies, have not kept one for 35 years. I think there are standard regs in the lower Current. Plenty of google eye and panfish. Drum also. Walleye may have a special reg also possibly, only keep them myself in lakes. The area is full of timber and rocks, that is what makes it good. Bigger deep holes down there and water gets a little darker, unlike the upper Current. Weekdays are fine, less pressure.
  24. Poor quality control and a cost over run there.
  25. That's some pretty fish there for summer time. Looks like the stream is in good shape.
